Fynnigan has officially announced that they are in production of ballistic missiles, Fynnigan has claimed that these missiles are not nuclear and are instead more conventional weapons rather than radioactive nukes. It is unknown how long it will be until these missiles are produced but Fynniganm rocket scientists claim it will be quite long before the missiles are actually made. Several conspiracies have come out in Fynnigan that Samoer is lying about the missiles, others say Samoer may be planning to use them aggressively, despite the countrys claims of them going to be used for self-defense. Fynnigan will prevail!

Alright as a tip for people if you are quoting a long quote such as the messages above edit the message to stay snip instead, otherwise you're making your message way longer than it needs to be
Example:
Girtaltor, Adriatic Democratic Empire, Byzantine Union Of Confederate States
Challenge accepted. Please allow me around 4 hours for a complete and finalized list of every video game I've ever played.
please telegram me then cuz you gonna clog up the RMB
As if I'm not already
But yes I will compact it so it takes up less space
Who is editing our nations? Changed me from left leaning to delided tax and spend hypcrites....
You are.
The changes are done automatically while you answer issues. Its just a game mechanic
with the red lines through them? ..lol..ok..
Girtaltor, how good are TWW and TWW2?
Girtaltor
Both are pretty fun. I like TWW2 more than 1 for the obvious reason of more factions.
But if you're looking to get started with one just get TWW. There still a bunch of factions and they all have pretty unique mechanics.
Dairyc
Thats cool and all, but you can also make your message way longer than it needs to be :)

RP Rules Update
To all RPers as a heads-up the rules have been modified such that if a nation hasn't made an RP post or otherwise been active in the RP for >31 days they may be subject to removal from the map
https://www.nationstates.net/page=dispatch/id=1902518
This applies to the Astoria RP in general, both RMB and discord
Ok, Im not on the discord, so can I make my posts here instead?
Yes, all RP posts have to be on the RMB anyways, what happens on discord is more discussion of the RP, diplomacy etc.
In the heart of Nator State City, amidst the bustling streets and vibrant communities, a peculiar incident unfolded. A local artisan, renowned for crafting intricate sculptures from recycled materials, accidentally created a masterpiece that sparked unexpected reactions.
As word spread about the unintentional artwork, Nator Statesmen gathered to look at the sculpture and interpret its meaning. The artist, humbled by the unexpected praise, decided to leave the piece on display for public interpretation.

Republican Hockey League Season One
The Republican Hockey League, or RHL as it is often called in the Republic of Stin is the premier hockey league within the nation, if not within the world. Previously, the amount of teams within the league had always been hovering somewhere in the low to mid twenties, but with recent expansion into new continents and overall monetary growth, this marks the first season of a rebooted league with a total of 32 teams! Below will be a semi-in-depth analysis of all 32 teams roster, and what we can look forward to this season.
First off, we'll be looking at the teams belonging to the Central Division. Named for their all-so-obvious central location in the Republic of Stin's main holdings on Etheloria. The first team we'll be looking at are the Arpinium Senators! The city of Arpinium is located around 50 miles from the Western Coast and is home to two separate teams, the Senators which we'll discuss shortly, and the Arpinium Cowboys, which will come later of course. As for the Senators, their roster looks like this:
-) Vopiscus Cantius Genialis, Center
-) Lucius Maccienus Crispinus, Center
-) Attius Umbrius Tatianus, Center
-) Salvius Varisidius Messor, Center
-) Seppius Gargonius Vernio, Right Wing
-) Marcus Rustius Ventrio, Right Wing
-) Herius Calavius Cicada, Right Wing
-) Nonus Lucretius Fabricianus, Right Wing
-) Publius Nerfinius Metunus, Left Wing
-) Septimus Caesennius Speratus, Left Wing
-) Caeso Trebanius Agelastus, Left Wing
-) Aulus Pidius Amplus, Left Wing
-) Mettius Novius Catonius, Right Defense
-) Novius Urbicius Fructuosus, Right Defense
-) Agrippa Ranius Comitinus, Right Defense
-) Marcus Procilius Catullinus, Left Defense
-) Numerius Vequasius Valerianus, Left Defense
-) Septimus Burbuleius Petasius, Left Defense
-) Numerius Iasidius Salinator, Goalie
-) Lucius Tertius Amantius, Goalie
Overall the Arpinium Senators seem to have a pretty solid lineup for this season, they are weighted to be a tad bit higher than average, although they are by no means a certified cup favorite this season. Their centers could all us lots of work, but they make up for it with outstanding Right Wingers and goalies. Across the board on Left Wing and Defensemen they seem to be about average. Their odds to make the top 8 are still pretty high regardless.
Up next from the central division as well we have the Autricium Jesters. This team is from a little bit north of Arpinium, located on the base of the Ostium Peninsula, but it is nonetheless home to its own RHL team. The Jesters aren't a new team either, they're one of the oldest continuous teams that is still operating within the Republic, with the initial founding date going all the way back to the early 1910's. They have a spotty history, and hardly an overall winning record. There roster is as follows:
-) Statius Vipstanus Bambalio, Center
-) Manius Novellius Sabellius, Center
-) Numerius Puccasius Matho, Center
-) Opiter Ofatulenus Fabiolus, Center
-) Publius Ovinius Alienus, Right Wing
-) Sertor Baebius Cupitianus, Right Wing
-) Faustus Petreius Mugillanus, Right Wing
-) Nonus Carsicius Adranos, Right Wing
-) Aulus Albinius Senecio, Left Wing
-) Gaius Splattius Mamercinus, Left Wing
-) Gnaeus Ambrosius Quirinus, Left Wing
-) Mettius Stlammius Trogus, Left Wing
-) Numerius Cossutius Grypus, Right Defense
-) Agrippa Vettius Quartinus, Right Defense
-) Gaius Salvidius Titillus, Right Defense
-) Minatus Placidius Ramio, Left Defense
-) Taurus Carpinatius Pudentius, Left Defense
-) Vibius Blandonius Durio, Left Defense
-) Marius Arrecinus Dexter, Goalie
-) Volesus Reginius Hesychius, Goalie
The Jesters seem to be one of the more balanced teams out there. With an even spread of good, and a few scattered bad players throughout the entire roster (without naming names of course). They look like they'll be an average team, not too bad but not entirely exceptional. Although in the world of RHL things can certainly happen by surprise. It'd be good to keep an eye out on the Jesters in the future for drafts and trades.
Next in the Central division from the city of Belginum are the Belginum Pastry Chefs. Aptly named after Belginum which is a sister city to Autricum, situated right across the River Stin from them. The Pastry Chefs are named after the chief export from Belginum, the many thousands of pastry's and other baked sweets. Belginum, since the foundation of Stin as a Republic, and since the very beginning of the foundation of Belginum as a city, had been known for its many hundred of bakeshops and cafes dotting the streets. It should be no surprise then that the RHL team from Belginum takes after it through its name. Now here's the roster:
-) Spurius Vedius Porcus, Center
-) Mettius Orfidius Mancinus, Center
-) Septimus Genucius Marsyas, Center
-) Septimus Iustinius Pulcher, Center
-) Servius Stlarius Avitus, Right Wing
-) Caeso Pleminius Lucidus, Right Wing
-) Decius Rammius Posca, Right Wing
-) Gnaeus Arrecinus Fortunatus, Right Wing
-) Quintus Volusenna Favorinus, Left Wing
-) Volesus Sosius Tiberianus, Left Wing
-) Manius Tampius Amphion, Left Wing
-) Decimus Servenius Tacitus, Left Wing
-) Mettius Betucius Fulvianillus, Right Defense
-) Tullus Libertius Vetranio, Right Defense
-) Tullus Gellius Caecinianus, Right Defense
-) Aulus Pollius Isatis, Left Defense
-) Mettius Rufius Turrinus, Left Defense
-) Seppius Vestius Eborius, Left Defense
-) Seppius Epidius Ursianus, Goalie
-) Caeso Salvidienus Sestinus, Goalie
Historically the city of Belginum never was very good at sports, and it is unfortunate to say that in recent years the Pastry Chef's have been supporting that image. Of course, one could argue that they're just biding their time for the right trade or the right draft spot. Their lineup for the most part performs below par, especially for the RHL. If they can pull any miracle wins this season the credit will undoubtedly fall to their goalie line up and defense. Both of their goalies are among the best in the league, with the defensemen not far behind as far as quality goes. How will the Pastry Chef's do? Is the rebuild coming towards an end, or is the mediocrity going to screw them in the draft.
The final team from the Central Division are the Philadelphia Dictators. This city is located along the coast, an important part about two hundred miles south of the Ostium Peninsula. The team is named after the position of government held by a sole individual when elected in times of need. Thought of as a position of power, this team has surely represented that in the past. Here's the roster:
-) Attius Vatinius Zosimus, Center
-) Marcus Sabidius Gracilis, Center
-) Numa Praeconius Luscinus, Center
-) Sextus Tineius Numerianus, Center
-) Mettius Asellius Gaudentius, Right Wing
-) Seppius Curtius Maternus, Right Wing
-) Salvius Caesellius Sigilis, Right Wing
-) Minius Messius Lanatus, Right Wing
-) Volesus Carfulenus Albinius, Left Wing
-) Mettius Scaevius Arcadius, Left Wing
-) Paullus Cilnius Potestas, Left Wing
-) Statius Sabidius Fructus, Left Wing
-) Hostus Staius Renatus, Right Defense
-) Ancus Furnius Alcimus, Right Defense
-) Gnaeus Tesitanus Aprillus, Right Defense
-) Septimus Poppaeus Minucianus, Left Defense
-) Numerius Pintilius Robustus, Left Defense
-) Pomp Nerius Britius, Left Defense
-) Appius Samacius Iulus, Goalie
-) Paccius Cuspius Mamercus, Goalie
Overall the Philadelphia Dictators can look forward to an uneventful season. Without a doubt they'll have their ups and downs, wins and losses, but not much can be expected out of a team that's just running up right in the middle as far as skill, experience, and history can go. This team has some fantastic players, some of the best out there, mixed in with a few who are terrifically underperforming of what they're expected to do. Some serious rebuilding will be necessary for this team to amount to anything in the future as their older, more experienced players come close to retiring.
Switching Divisions entirely we'll now take a look at the Coastal Division, focusing on many of the cities along the coast (no duh). The cities here are all still on Etheloria, although the overseas territories have been added as expansion teams this season we'll be looking at those soon, I promise. The Coastal Division is the oldest unchanging division within the entire RHL, with the last time a team was added or removed was not since 1967 when the entirety of the Ostium Tuxedo's was drafted into the military.
First up for the teams within the Coastal Division are the Circesium Fat Men. This team is named after a former consul of the Republic, or at least named after his image. This particular consul, who will not be named for his descendants are still around, was a rather rotund individual and the team decided to honor him both with their name and mascot made in his image. Here's the roster:
-) Opiter Valerius Adauctus, Center
-) Volesus Paccius Successianus, Center
-) Faustus Quinctillius Arruntius, Center
-) Quintus Maccius Petasius, Center
-) Quintus Cincius Firminillius, Right Wing
-) Mettius Gellius Iullius, Right Wing
-) Postumus Puccasius Caesonianius, Right Wing
-) Paullus Maecilius Pitio, Right Wing
-) Appius Vipsanius Exuperatus, Left Wing
-) Hostus Summianus Allectus, Left Wing
-) Volesus Vesnius Quirinalis, Left Wing
-) Numerius Umerius Bambilio, Left Wing
-) Numerius Palfurius Germanus, Right Defense
-) Manius Salvidius Commius, Right Defense
-) Manius Verginius Amandio, Right Defense
-) Numerius Salvidienus Cocceianus, Left Defense
-) Numerius Severius Eunapius, Left Defense
-) Titus Nasidienus Fortio, Left Defense
-) Sertor Pisentius Aeserninus, Goalie
-) Paullus Quartinius Cupiditianus, Goalie
The Circesium Fat Men are on the less favorable end of the current teams playing this season falling very low on the rankings as far as expected outcomes, but the lineup is still rather decent. Most of their strength will have to come from the Defensemen as both their forwards and goalies do not seem to be up to par with the quality that most teams in the RHL are looking for. But that isn't to say they aren't expected to carry with a few wins.
Next up in the roster are the Portus Lemanus Monarchs. The Portus Lemanus Monarchs are based off of the fictitious event in which the Republic was actually a monarchy, of course this would never happen, but in the fantastical realm of the RHL who the hell knows? An important port city towards the south of the continent, the Monarchs are based roughly off of the old, large, wooden shipping vessels. With much of their merchandise, uniforms, and mascots involving some combination of Monarchical and Sailing Ship themes. And here's this seasons roster:
-) Tullus Blandius Eustochius, Center
-) Publius Arvenius Rhesus, Center
-) Decimus Porsina Tubertus, Center
-) Appius Palfurius Suburanus, Center
-) Vopiscus Postumulenus Abundius, Right Wing
-) Numerius Ricinius Surdus, Right Wing
-) Caeso Varius Alypius, Right Wing
-) Statius Anisinus Mento, Right Wing
-) Tullus Rabuleius Tertulla, Left Wing
-) Marcus Blandonius Septimus, Left Wing
-) Publius Crastinus Momus, Left Wing
-) Octavius Urbinius Cotentius, Left Wing
-) Postumus Ceionius Gutta, Right Defense
-) Gaius Bellienus Romanillus, Right Defense
-) Gnaeus Cossinius Virilio, Right Defense
-) Tullus Caelius Tacitianus, Left Defense
-) Sextus Tituculenus Sebastianus, Left Defense
-) Spurius Tuticanus Pelgaius, Left Defense
-) Gnaeus Aurius Cornix, Goalie
-) Sertor Pasidienus Hortensianus, Goalie
The Portus Lemanus Monarchs are in a decent position this year, situated somewhere towards the front of the pack of all of the teams, although still behind some powerful contenders that I'll get into later. For this team they seem to be strong all across the board, not really faltering too hard in any one category. Will they win the cup this year? Or will they have to stick to be among the runner ups like years previous.
Next up in the coastal division are the Ostium Shipwrights, one of three teams named after the capital city of the Republic. The shipwrights get their team name from the very large ship building, manufacturing, maintenance, and merchandise found within the City and Peninsula of Ostium. In the past this team has never truly been cup contenders, but maybe this year they can pull something off? Now here's the roster:
-) Herius Turpilius Arulenus, Center
-) Octavius Gessius Burrus, Center
-) Paullus Curius Pulex, Center
-) Vettius Annius Agrippina, Center
-) Caeso Eranius Valentianus, Right Wing
-) Publius Simplicinius Viator, Right Wing
-) Marcus Cremutius Aprilis, Right Wing
-) Decimus Vistilius Cinna, Right Wing
-) Proculus Baebius Pinarianus, Left Wing
-) Sertor Turranius Calidianus, Left Wing
-) Aulus Voconius Cassianillus, Left Wing
-) Mettius Caedicius Latinus, Left Wing
-) Herius Statilius Angelus, Right Defense
-) Marcus Tonnonius Flaccinus, Right Defense
-) Volesus Cordius Flaccianus, Right Defense
-) Quintus Numerius Frugi, Left Defense
-) Appius Lepidius Surus, Left Defense
-) Tiberius Proculeius Maior, Left Defense
-) Octavius Sulpicius Subulo, Goalie
-) Postumus Barsius Terentianus, Goalie
The Ostium Shipwrights have a solid lineup of Forward and Goalies, but lack the thick meat of a solid defensive roster which may prove to subvert their dominance on the ice within the Coastal Division or even the League as a whole. Of course that doesn't mean all that much when compared to the forwards. Where in every position there is at least two players almost at the top of their game, and the same can be said about the goalies. The only hope for the Shipwrights is that after this season they can pull some defensive talent, otherwise they may be out of luck in the next season as well.
The final team in the Coastal Division is one that has had fantastic seasons in the past under a different league name, the Eboracum Kraken have had within the past thirty or so years some of the best records of all the hockey leagues within Stin. The team name is taken from the city of Eboracum, located on an island a few miles off of the Ostium peninsula, where it was rumored that the mythical beast called the kraken lives. Of course, it is a myth, but the team took its name as its own anyway. The roster is as follows:
-) Minius Voconius Fortio, Center
-) Caeso Plaguleius Quietus, Center
-) Gaius Bicleius Atratinus, Center
-) Herius Teditius Lusianus, Center
-) Opiter Velius Saunio, Right Wing
-) Minatus Nesulna Momus, Right Wing
-) Attius Vibenius Gemellinus, Right Wing
-) Spurius Victorinius Philippus, Right Wing
-) Faustus Scantius Durus, Left Wing
-) Ancus Uttiedius Chlorus, Left Wing
-) Pompo Petronius Centumalus, Left Wing
-) Numa Vedius BLandus, Left Wing
-) Statius Dellius Mauricius, Right Defense
-) Faustus Amplas Patiens, Right Defense
-) Numerius Victricius Subulo, Right Defense
-) Seppius Turallasius Clemens, Left Defense
-) Servius Porcius Galba, Left Defense
-) Decimus Quirinius Herenus, Left Defense
-) Gnaeus Cervonius Porcellus, Goalie
-) Tiberius Cassius Appianillus, Goalie
The Eboracum Kraken are by far the worst rated team heading into the inaugural season of the RHL. They have a few select players who, quite frankly, are undeserving of the presumed embarrassment that the Kraken will undergo this season, and in the foreseeable seasons. Across all 6 positions that can be held, the only seemingly redeeming quality is found within one of their goalies, who is rated amongst the top few of all goalies playing this season, but is stuck with one of the worst.
The next division to be looked at is a very new one, for all four teams playing in this division it is their first season, introducing, the COLONIAL DIVISION. This division is based almost entirely in South Westwellia as a way to raise interest and start up sports on the continent as a means of tax revenue and private income. The cities that each of these teams are located in are 'small' when compared to the rest of Stin, and were selected to develop into total regional hubs.
The first team that is being looked at in the Colonial Division are the Iulium Carnicum Slave Owners. This city is in the northern section of the Stinnish colonies here, and while certainly has a questionable name it in no way reflects the ongoings of the colonies. It was selected instead to represent the history of Stin and of the colonial natives, as well as to provide a little bit of humor. This seasons roster is as follows;
-) Publius Consius Capitolinus, Center
-) Publius Decidius Acutus, Center
-) Volesus Mustius Diocletianus, Center
-) Appius Macrobius Procus, Center
-) Vettius Molonius Anniolus, Right Wing
-) Octavius Scantius Nummus, Right Wing
-) Mettius Hedusius Fidus, Right Wing
-) Ovius Tariolenus Verullus, Right Wing
-) Ancus Sosius Baro, Left Wing
-) Tiberius Plautius Briktius, Left Wing
-) Vettius Arsinius Fimbria, Left Wing
-) Numa Gabinius Noster, Left Wing
-) Minius Laetorius Virgilianus, Right Defense
-) Numa Calventius Herenus, Right Defense
-) Sextus Bellicius Audens, Right Defense
-) Proculus Lucius Mammula, Left Defense
-) Sextus Acutius Diocletianus, Left Defense
-) Nonus Vitedius Mallianus, Left Defense
-) Spurius Rullius Isauricus, Goalie
-) Vettius Faenius Laevus, Goalie
The Iuliuam Carnicum Slave Owners are situated and set to be the best team currently in the league. The overall lineup for them is fantastic, the forwards, defense, and goalies all are experienced, skilled, ad still quite young enough so injuries won't pose an issue. As well as that, one goalie in particular, Vettius Faenius Laevus, is the single best goalie currently in the league.
The second team from the Colonial Division are the Caesarea Rum Barrels, named after the chief export from the port city of Caesarea, the name is to inspire pride for the local economy of not just the city, but the across the colonies of South Westwellia as a whole. Not much else to say about this time, although there mascot is a giant bottle of rum which has become an almost mythological figure amongst the fanbase of the RHL team, onto the roster:
-) Numerius Turionius Lupicinus, Center
-) Statius Sabellius Hilaris, Center
-) Caeso Arellius Dalmatius, Center
-) Pompo Seppienus Epidianus, Center
-) Postumus Lucretius Numida, Right Wing
-) Titus Vedodius Lunaris, Right Wing
-) Vibius Tanusius Dardanus, Right Wing
-) Vettius Litrius Beatus, Right Wing
-) Ancus Veranius Tremorinus, Left Wing
-) Minius Numonius Paternus, Left Wing
-) Salvius Saltius Lutatianus, Left Wing
-) Mamercus Amusanus Antonillus, Left Wing
-) Lucius Paconius Faustinus, Right Defense
-) Servius Icilius Ursianus, Right Defense
-) Ovius Oosius Naso, Right Defense
-) Proculus Saenius Fatalis, Left Defense
-) Tullus Oclatinius Pardus, Left Defense
-) Maximus Laronius Perpetuus, Left Defense
-) Nerius Antonius Pachomius, Goalie
-) Mettius Oclatius Florentinus, Goalie
The Rum Barrels are among the more middling of the RHL teams for this season, although all of their players are essentially rookies, so this should make for some entertaining games. The lineup has its ups and downs like the others, although for the Caesarean's, neither one of their goalies is any good. Most of this season will rely on their ability to maintain control of the puck and keep it off of their own ice.
The third team from the Colonial Division hails from the first and largest Stinnish founded city on South Westwellia, the Augustobonum Gold Miners. Although there has been no gold found near the city of Augustobonum, the team was named in the hope there was. Trace mineral analysis has still allowed for the citizenry of the city to have some hope. And the roster for this team is:
-) Nonus Antonius Faustillus, Center
-) Paccius Mussidius Acaunus, Center
-) Vopiscus Aulius Tubulus, Center
-) Ovius Sinnius Angelus, Center
-) Maximus Tittienus Titulla, Right Wing
-) Nerius Cavinnius Candidus, Right Wing
-) Vopiscus Munatius Iucundinus, Right Wing
-) Marius Stellius Cullio, Right Wing
-) Decimus Volnius Ventrio, Left Wing
-) Numerius Ostorius Ravilla, Left Wing
-) Paullus Falcidius Cita, Left Wing
-) Decius Pescennius Baebianus, Left Wing
-) Statius Orosius Sotericus, Right Defense
-) Lucius Virius Desiderius, Right Defense
-) Manius Verrius Paetus, Right Defense
-) Opiter Cupiennius Paetillus, Left Defense
-) Statius Satrienus Trio, Left Defense
-) Nonus Fadenus Damianus, Left Defense
-) Numerius Cremutius Gemellinus, Goalie
-) Salvius Catienus Acacius, Goalie
The Augustobonum Gold Miners will have to rely heavily on their own control in their zone thanks to the defensemen. Both the forwards and the goalies have been known to perform below average, but this can hopefully be countered by the above-par skillset of the defensemen that this team has in store. Will this help them in the long run, or will they be screwed over by the draft at the end of this season, who knows.
The final team in the Colonial Division is from a growing city on the inland of the continent, the Hadrianopolis Legionaries. The city of Hadrianopolis is named after a mythical general of Stinnish history, and the team as well after the type of soldier from antiquity. This will be the teams first season in any type of professional hockey league, can they perform like their mythical namesake? Here's the roster:
-) Minius Fufius Faber, Center
-) Spurius Gessius Urbicus, Center
-) Appius Arruntius Optatus, Center
-) Mettius Mattavius Senilianus, Center
-) Numerius Ostorius Mamercinus, Right Wing
-) Statius Titinius Pervincus, Right Wing
-) Statius Cosconius Materninus, Right Wing
-) Nonus Menius Eumenius, Right Wing
-) Mettius Octavius Vernio, Left Wing
-) Postumus Condetius Publicola, Left Wing
-) Ovius Caristicus Augustus, Left Wing
-) Appius Atilius Flamen, Left Wing
-) Taurus Vatinius Trebellianus, Right Defense
-) Memercus Orbilius Volusianus, Right Defense
-) Spurius Pedanius Cittinus, Right Defense
-) Tiberius Latinius Noctua, Left Defense
-) Quintus Iucundius Mauricius, Left Defense
-) Nerius Adginnius Longinianus, Left Defense
-) Marius Urbinius Proculus, Goalie
-) Paullus Flavoleius Macer, Goalie
The Hadrianopolis Legionaries are not in a bad position. Like the rest of the Colonial Division teams, this team has its strength in the age and enthusiasm of its players. As most of them are all uninjured and fresh into the world of processional hockey eager to prove themselves. The team for the most part is set to finish the season in the top 8, will they get the cup? Or will they be scammed out of it by another team in the Colonial Division or outside of it?
This next division was added to the prior hockey league in the early 2000's. The Islander Division is not entirely accurate, as one of the teams itself is still based on the mainland Etheloria, albeit on the coast. Most of these cities however are in someway connected to the ocean, and their influence as important port cities to the Republic of Stin cannot be overstated. Nonetheless, lets introduce the teams and rosters of the Islander Division!
For this team, it will be the second team coming from this city along the Stinnish coast, its the ARPINIUM COWBOYS. This is the second team originating from the city of Arpinium, and while it isnt on an island, at least one team from this city had to be from a separate division, thus placing the cowboys in the Islander Division. The Cowboys are named after the large cattle farming industry that was based in Arpinium, before it was phased out by the wine and cheese industries that dominate Stin today. And heres the roster:
-) Proculus Pacidius Centumalus, Center
-) Mettius Rubrius Mactator, Center
-) Seppius Umbrius Cosmas, Center
-) Paullus Abronius Duilianus, Center
-) Tullus Scetanus Septimianus, Right Wing
-) Salvius Marcius Aprulla, Right Wing
-) Sertor Afinius Valentinian, Right Wing
-) Aulus Carrinas Caesonianus, Right Wing
-) Nonus Caecius Centumalus, Left Wing
-) Paullus Rustius Polybius, Left Wing
-) Publius Tarutius Pastor, Left Wing
-) Volesus Ovinius Gregorius, Left Wing
-) Marius Nautius Mauritius, Right Defense
-) Statius Statioleius Gentilis, Right Defense
-) Attius Caesonius Caelimontanus, Right Defense
-) Aulus Tanusius Vettianus, Left Defense
-) Mettius Orchius Caelistis, Left Defense
-) Pompo Amlbasius Fuscianus, Left Defense
-) Attius Atilius Lucianus, Goalie
-) Marius Vistilius Trimalchio, Goalie
The Cowboys are running in the middle of the pack as far as they should be concerned. They have a solid line of centers, with their right forwards and left forwards following not far behind. The defensemen are hit or miss depending on the players, and unfortunately the same can be said for their goalies.
The second team in the Islander Division is the one, the only Sozopolis Sun Gods. Named after the ancient Stinnish deity of the sun, Sozin. This ancient deity was important and tied into the mythological founding of the city and the Republic of Stin. As the stories go, Sozin was the son of the first legendary Consul of the Republic, and the Sozopolis Sun Gods fanbase sure as hell act like it. Heres the roster:
-) Statius Velleius Celsillus, Center
-) Titus Calumeius Lunaris, Center
-) Spurius Magius Dursuo, Center
-) Decimus Nerfinius Volusus, Center
-) Vibius Egnatius Falconillus, Right Wing
-) Maximus Plancius Iustillus, Right Wing
-) Titus Boionius Tancinus, Right Wing
-) Paullus Mamercius Cerinthus, Right Wing
-) QUintus Tursidius Lutatianus, Left Wing
-) Tiberius Tarquinius Vitalis, Left Wing
-) Faustus Ampius Herculanus, Left Wing
-) Marcus Ninnius Lucrio, Left Wing
-) Numa Staberius Britannicus, Right Defense
-) Salvius Caecilius Plotinus, Right Defense
-) Appius Antonius Acer, Right Defense
-) Faustus Ulentinius Flavillus, Left Defense
-) Novius Cestius Tantalus, Left Defense
-) Marcus Tesitanus Helvianus, Left Defense
-) Minatus Pedanius Noctua, Goalie
-) Publius Taurius Dardanus, Goalie
Sozopolis wont be having much to worry about this season with four of the best forwards in the league and a solid defensive line to back it up paired with a solid goalie backbone. The Sun Gods are expected to make it, and possibly be cup contenders depending on how their schedule goes this season.
The Isurium Jets get their name dating back to the historical military presence that the Republic has had in the town. Back before the modern era, Isurium was once a set of fortifications on an island blocking the entrance to the bay of Ostium. Although now it is home to a predominant air force base, where the name of the RHL team comes from. Now presenting, the roster:
-) Aulus Titedius Mamercinus, Center
-) Octavius Cocceius Hilarius, Center
-) Ancus Fufius Viscellinus, Center
-) Decius Lurius Lucillianus, Center
-) Sertor Tussidius Favor, Right Wing
-) Minatus Orosius Maximinus, Right Wing
-) Marius Saltius Protus, Right Wing
-) Proculus Popaedius Atticianus, Right Wing
-) Postumus Strabonius Balbinus, Left Wing
-) Statius Manilius Hostilianus, Left Wing
-) Statius Herennius Trebonianus, Left Wing
-) Gaustus Porsina Calaritanus, Left Wing
-) Mamercus Pidius Naso, Right Defense
-) Paccius Maelius Venustinus, Right Defense
-) Salvius Saenius Opilio, Right Defense
-) Ovius Urbanius Tranio, Left Defense
-) Manius Rubellius Oculatus, Left Defense
-) Attius Pluticius Draco, Left Defense
-) Decius Opsidius Flos, Goalie
-) Numerius Pontificius Clementianus, Goalie
The Isurium Jets have a very solid roster heading into this season. With almost all of their forwards barring one or two at the top of their game and a pretty well rounded roster as far as their other positions go. There may be a little worry as far as goaltending goes, but this should be a good season for Isurium.
The port of Ravenna presents to the RHL, the Ravenna Hollow-Points, named almost exclusively after the arms manufacturing district of Ravenna that brought almost all of its population to the city. Dotting the skyline, and especially around the RHL stadium are the still operating buildings of said facilities. Onto the roster:
-) Quintus Cosconius Lentulus, Center
-) Servius Vestorius Innocens, Center
-) Agrippa Rabuleius Censor, Center
-) Statius Vitedius Zeno, Center
-) Hostus Messius Eburus, Right Wing
-) Appius Ceppuleius Vetranio, Right Wing
-) Paccius Munatius Eliphas, Right Wing
-) Volesus Vipsanius Fimbria, Right Wing
-) Sextus Cluentius Maccalus, Left Wing
-) Gaius Volusius Viridio, Left Wing
-) Manius Salvidienus Trio, Left Wing
-) Aulus Ninnius Sabina, Left Wing
-) Nerius Mutilius Plautinus, Right Defense
-) Maximus Arellius Acceptus, Right Defense
-) Salvius Saufeius Lucretius, Right Defense
-) Ancus Egnatuleius Noctua, Left Defense
-) Sextus Carssicius Bestia, Left Defense
-) Vettius Selicius Moderatus, Left Defense
-) Mamercus Duccius Oppianus, Goalie
-) Minius Agnanius Orestillus, Goalie
The Hollow-Points[/] have a pretty good future for this season. Like the other teams in the Islander division the only real concern that theyll have is the defensemen and goal tending. With some of the best overall forwards, the hollow-points will have to make their best effort to keep the puck out of their zone for, what will probably be, most of their games
The Metropolitan Division includes four teams which all have one or more other teams in the same namesake city. These teams however do not necessarily reside in that city, giving this division the name Metropolitan. These teams can be found just outside the limits, or in the, you guessed it, metropolitan area of the city. Such as a few miles outside, or at the very limits of the densely inhabited zone. This, then gives you, the Metropolitan Division!
The Ostium Battleships are one of three teams named after the port and capital city of Ostium, although as the name suggests, they are not located in the city itself. Instead they play around 10 miles outside of city limits in a stadium built out of the scraped hulls of former Stinnish naval ships keeping the identifiable pieces intact to enforce the franchises name. The roster is:
-) Spurius Carius Iovinus, Center
-) Hostus Nummius Macerinus, Center
-) Lucius Minicius Natalinus, Center
-) Nerius Gratius Fulvillus, Center
-) Octavius Romanius Quintus, Right Wing
-) Taurus Metonius Eustathius, Right Wing
-) Titus Ateius Clementianus, Right Wing
-) Agrippa Propertius Metilianus, Right Wing
-) Ovius Cordius Datus, Left Wing
-) Manius Mercatorius Tancinus, Left Wing
-) Marcus Satrius Patiens, Left Wing
-) Pompo Sallustius Fullo, Left Wing
-) Numerius Condetius Potens, Right Defense
-) Tiberius Simplicius Catulus, Right Defense
-) Vopiscus Suellius Ninnianus, Right Defense
-) Faustus Alfenus Vincentius, Left Defense
-) Paullus Sempronius Tertiolus, Left Defense
-) Spurius Accoleius Campanus, Left Defense
-) Vopiscus Quinquaius Damascius, Goalie
-) Marcus Livinius Otacilianus, Goalie
The Battleships like so many other teams competing in this league, are sitting solidly in the middle as far as skill goes. A pretty even spread of players across all positions, this team will surely put up a fight regardless of who they might be playing against. Which should, if all things considered go right, make for entertaining games.
The Philadelphia Terrorists were named to make fun of those that stand against Stin, and against the ideals of the Republic. And what better city to do that than Philadelphia. The Philadelphia Terrorists are located just outside of the city limits and about five blocks down from the Federal Prison for Individuals Convicted of Crimes Against Humanity (F.P.I.C.C.A.H), and occasionally the team will have convicts paraded on the ice for the fans to throw stuff at. Heres the roster:
-) Ovius Mestrius Caninianus, Center
-) Pompo Accius Hortensis, Center
-) Taurus Betitus Lupicinus, Center
-) Appius Paciaecus Sophus, Center
-) Mettius Aquinius Vatianus, Right Wing
-) Novius Tuscilius Petillianus, Right Wing
-) Numa Volusius Naevianus, Right Wing
-) Proculus Nerius Facundus, Right Wing
-) Tullus Quinquaius Cunobarrus, Left Wing
-) Faustus Successius Communis, Left Wing
-) Tullus Sinicius Postumus, Left Wing
-) Aulus Salvius Gallio, Left Wing
-) Novius Flavoleius Calacicus, Right Defense
-) Numa Livius Dulcis, Right Defense
-) Manius Silicius Assanius, Right Defense
-) Numerius Eranius Mordanticus, Left Defense
-) Salvius Spellius Valentinus, Left Defense
-) Publius Maximius Romanillus, Left Defense
-) Quintus Decumenus Iustianus, Goalie
-) Paccius Quirinius Albina, Goalie
The Terrorists have a solid line up, and are among the favorites to win the cup this season. The only real place that the team seems to be lacking is in their forward, which seems to be trending towards being hit and misses. Although the defensemen and goal tending are both pretty solid to rely on.
The Port city of Maremago is one of the most important port cities on the Northern Coast of the Republic of Stin, and this team, the Maremago Pirates is absed a few miles outside of it near the place of the mythical battle of Maremago. This battle was between the pirate captain Barbaratus and the Republic of Stins medieval navy. The team as a reuslt, is loosely based off of this mythological pirate who is said to haunt the seas off the northern coast to this day. And here is the roster:
-) Appius Sempronius Crispinianus, Center
-) Octavius Manilius Eucherius, Center
-) Tiberius Sibidienus Apronillus, Center
-) Gaius Socellius Lurco, Center
-) Vopiscus Metilius Domitius, Right Wing
-) Decimus Scuilius Avitillus, Right Wing
-) Septimus Munius Dorso, Right Wing
-) Servius Plinius Senecianus, Right Wing
-) Postumus Ampudius Papus, Left Wing
-) Ancus Tillius Rufina, Left Wing
-) Vopiscus Umerius Hilarinus, Left Wing
-) Mamercus Trausius Velocianus, Left Wing
-) Minatus Travius Herennianus, Right Defense
-) Numerius Florius Dominicus, Right Defense
-) Titus Gratius Superbus, Right Defense
-) Sertor Alfenus Innocens, Left Defense
-) Herius Traulus Garrulus, Left Defense
-) Nerius Septueius Gracchanus, Left Defense
-) Numa Tigernius Constantianus, Goalie
-) Postumus Manlius Metunas, Goalie
There is certainly hope for this team, and especially with this roster. There's a mix of both young and older players to provide a solid line of skill for the team. Both offensive lines and defensive lines are sitting at comfortable spots, the the just-about-average goalies should be bale to pull through with the rest of the team to give the Maremago Pirates a solid shot at the cup.
The city of Saguntum is known for a few things; the hub for the Republic of Stin's treasurer, a hotspot for future consuls to come from, and its thriving sea weed harvesting industry. The Saguntum Consuls are named to honor at least one of those three teams, and are located within the city limits (although scheduling placed them in the Metropolitan Division). The Consuls have had a solid history as far as former championship's go, and were recently elevated to the RHL level for this inaugural season, previously playing in the lower professional division. And here's the roster:
-) Salvius Duccius Labienus, Center
-) Agrippa Stlarius Hortalus, Center
-) Appius Canutius Verres, Center
-) Minius Rubellius Noricus, Center
-) Proculus Victricius Norbanianus, Right Wing
-) Septimus Calvenus Aurunculeianus, Right Wing
-) Volesus Avianus Turpilianus, Right Wing
-) Mamercus Baebius Segestes, Right Wing
-) Gaius Hordeonius Nertomarus, Left Wing
-) Numa Sestius Ingenvinus, Left Wing
-) Pompo Vestilius Rufinianus, Left Wing
-) Nerius Babrius Salvianus, Left Wing
-) Volesus Numerius Domitius, Right Defense
-) Attius Terentius Cunobarrus, Right Defense
-) Gnaeus Vitellius Catilina, Right Defense
-) Salvius Potitus Cullio, Left Defense
-) Numa Titioleius Lactantius, Left Defense
-) Vopiscus Minatius Desideratus, Left Defense
-) Aulus Lucienus Boetius, Goalie
-) Mamercus Numonius Dardanus, Goalie
The Consuls this season will have a tough schedule ahead of them as they are on the lower end for the expected cup winners. They've had a good few runs in the past as apart of the previous SHL and even competing internationally in the Tour Era, but what is really to be questioned is how well will they perform with other teams that have all had hand picked rosters from within Stin? One of the few things that look like will safe this team in the upcoming season is their defensive line, putting it flatly, offense and their goalies are simply not up to par.
The National Division includes teams from all across the mainland Republic. These are the original four teams of the RHL's predessecors, and among the oldest hockey teams within the nation going back as far as the 1920's and 1910's. These four teams as well are partially, or majority owned by the federal govenrment. While this has caused controversy in the past, especially raising questions as to why the Republic was actively pouring money into the RHL, which was wealthy by itself. It is, in the modern day, generally accepted and approved of by the public. Now, onto the teams.
The first team to be looked at in the National League is the Philadelphia Grave Diggers. This team is named after, and based around the ancient god of the dead. Not named Philadelphia, but the city is the location of where the 2nd oldest pre-Christian temple for the pagan God was found. In honor of this historical and monumental structure, the RHL team is named after this figure. Team stadium, mascot, and merchandising all branded after Grave Diggers. Here's the roster:
-) Herius Sennius Tuticanus, Center
-) Volesus Spellius Corbulo, Center
-) Paullus Seius Macrinus, Center
-) Faustus Appuleius Buccio, Center
-) Octavius Blossius Petronius, Right Wing
-) Publius Ignius Agaptus, Right Wing
-) Seppius Ebetius Catuarus, Right Wing
-) Aulus Alfenus Caianus, Right Wing
-) Marcus Salonius Atilianus, Left Wing
-) Mamercus Lentidius Cornix, Left Wing
-) Mettius Crepereius Fulvianus, Left Wing
-) Statius Lentidius Pachomius, Left Wing
-) Mamercus Terentilius Blaesillus, Right Defense
-) Minius Cerenius Durio, Right Defense
-) Agrippa Statorius Commidus, Right Defense
-) Lucius Vequasius Macrinianus, Left Defense
-) Quintus Resius Pacatianus, Left Defense
-) Ovius Sinnius Muncius, Left Defense
-) Vettius Duilius Carbo, Goalie
-) Decius Vistilius Novellus, Goalie
The Grave Diggers are in a similar spot to the Consuls from before. They're rated to perform with about the same sort of expectations overall, but they are a more balanced team by far when it comes to the individual players stats. Which while it does have its pluses and minuses, this is not to be anticipated as a good season for the grave diggers, but a little better than their franchise history we can hope so far.
The Ostium Steelworkers, like the other two teams based in the capital city of Stin, are named after the thriving industries that helped to put both the city and the Republic on the regional and global map. The Ostium Steelworkers are based inside the city proper, only a few blocks from the main government buildings of both the regional and city mayors and the Consuls and Senate of the Republic, and a few blocks north of the embassy row. It's become so prevalent for politicians to attend a Steelworkers game that there are custom booths constructed all around the arena for VIP's and their guests. And here is the roster:
-) Attius Tursidius Simplex, Center
-) Titus Umberius Merenda, Center
-) Octavius Saltius Liberius, Center
-) Tullus Arminius Vergilianus, Center
-) Quintus Spedioleius Zeno, Right Wing
-) Marcus Ingenius Mansuetus, Right Wing
-) Herius Praecilius Celsinillus, Right Wing
-) Opiter Balonius Caelestinus, Right Wing
-) Tiberius Tranquillius Helvianus, Left Wing
-) Herius Stellius Victoricus, Left Wing
-) Appius Numonius Diligens, Left Wing
-) Numerius Cassius Vibulanus, Left Wing
-) Marcus Stallius Agrippinillus, Right Defense
-) Octavius Tesitanus Simplicius, Right Defense
-) Opiter Betuus Moderatus, Right Defense
-) Proculus Tiburtius Frequentinus, Left Defense
-) Vettius Matius Papianus, Left Defense
-) Minatus Pomponius Stolo, Left Defense
-) Caeso Anisius Sollemnis, Goalie
-) Septimus Verginius Calenus, Goalie
The Ostium Steelworkers have both a history, and current roster that meets the expectations of them, no more, no less. Often times the team has bee crtiticised for fighting and excessive roughing. According to one news source, that they turn the sport more into a brawl than a game. This of course, brings in lots of revenue as far as the franchise is concerned. The team itself is alright, playing at the level that is expected. But the Steelworkers games are often known to be the most entertaining, and exciting.
The Aquinoctium Golden Eagles are based in the Northern City of Aquinoctium, which both acts as a port and home to the largest bird aviary on the West Coast of Etheloria. AS such, the aptly named Golden Eagles are named after the native bird to this Northern Coast, and of the federally protected bird of prey. The RHL team that bears this namesake in pride. Here's the roster:
-) Septimus Attius Spectatus, Center
-) Mamercus Titulenus Solon, Center
-) Paullus Septueius Reginus, Center
-) Minius Marcius Hilarius, Center
-) Paccius Iunius Seppius, Right Wing
-) Quintus Sariolenus Plotinus, Right Wing
-) Decimus Dellius Bibulus, Right Wing
-) Minius Apronius Metellus, Right Wing
-) Opiter Antius Tusculus, Left Wing
-) Gnaeus Publicius Eburus, Left Wing
-) Paccius Nessinius Andronicus, Left Wing
-) Marius Saufeius Primitivus, Left Wing
-) Quintus Domitius Aeacus, Right Defense
-) Herius Taronius Pudentillus, Right Defense
-) Statius Aelius Gregorius, Right Defense
-) Sextus Resius Forianus, Left Defense
-) Faustus Vecilius Serapion, Left Defense
-) Octavius Lafrenius Maximianus, Left Defense
-) Caeso Suilius Campilius, Goalie
-) Opiter Caesennius Trogus, Goalie
Average is the name for the way that this team is expected to perform this season. They've got a hit or miss offensive line, although their strength here is certainly shown with their centers and right wingers. Their defense once against certainly shows its strengths for its Right Defensemen, with the left dwindling off as far as skill and experience goes. This all is combined with two alright goalies. Good luck is needed for this team, and one hell of luck with the draft.
Next up we have the Eboracum Starfish. This is the second team to hail from this city, and one of the only team teams to claim the Island of Eboracum as its home. Similar to its sister team, the Eboracum Starfish takes its name from the lil' sea creature called the starfish. Not named for the cities affectionate feelings towards it as a creature, but as a grilled and friend street food. Its popularity having always remained high across the coast of Stin, and especially in Eboracum where the local economy is mainly dependent on the trade of this mystifying and many-flavored creature. And here is the roster:
-) Gnaeus Sicinius Tertianus, Center
-) Lucius Carpinatius Brucetus, Center
-) Ovius Opiternius Bamballio, Center
-) Sertor Velleius Decor, Center
-) Paullus Pontilius Cassius, Right Wing
-) Caeso Varius Exuperatus, Right Wing
-) Vibius Munius Carbo, Right Wing
-) Marcus Togonius Tigris, Right Wing
-) Numerius Cornelius Evodius, Left Wing
-) Manius Barbatius Eonus, Left Wing
-) Tiberius Bellicius Plautillus, Left Wing
-) Salvius Opsilius Ianuaria, Left Wing
-) Statius Ittiedius Iuncinus, Right Defense
-) Decimus Pompeius Gallienus, Right Defense
-) Manius Sornatius Plotus, Right Defense
-) Manius Tarquitius Senna, Left Defense
-) OCtavius Lucilius Diocletianus, Left Defense
-) Volesus Hedusius Luctacus, Left Defense
-) Appius Nonius Augendus, Goalie
-) Volesus Dibius Decor, Goalie
The starfish are a solid team, with a very good lineup up left and right wingers to support the aging, but still experienced, line up of centers. The intermixing of experience and raw skill has in the previous seasons posed to be a significant threat to the other teams. This with the solid spine of defense and goalies will allow the Eboracum Starfish to get far, much further than their sister team The Kraken.
The Northern Division, as the name implies, is based in the northern section of the Republic. The northernmost coast, and a little bit of the West is predominantly where these four teams and their players are from. Rarely do they ever cross the ocean for inter-national excursions into Haylestia however, as primarily there is enough competition within the Republic itself for all of these teams to keep themselves on their toes.
The second team from the Northern port of Maremago, the Maremago Wine Hogs share the names of two other international teams, belonging to the ANAL of AFA and the AIBL. The name goes back to two major exports of Stin; wine, and the slightly less important export of pork. Specifically from a type of pig that evolved to eat nothing but grapes. This Wine Hog smells both like wine, but often is trained to help in the process of making the wine. And for this team, here's the roster:
-) Gnaeus Stlammius Mauritius, Center
-) Taurus Mummius Catilina, Center
-) Appius Tarquinius Casca, Center
-) Octavius Avidius Durus, Center
-) Minius Hosidius Victoricus, Right Wing
-) Opiter Curtilius Nummus, Right Wing
-) Statius Sabucius Bubulcus, Right Wing
-) Appius Foslius Celsillus, Right Wing
-) Maximas Audasius Varus, Left Wing
-) Paullus Livinius Adranos, Left Wing
-) Ovius Actorius Papus, Left Wing
-) Tullus Tedius Haudens, Left Wing
-) Taurus Potitius Severa, Right Defense
-) Faustus Cupiennius Patricius, Right Defense
-) Numa Stlabillenus Agrippianus, Right Defense
-) Sextus Sinuleius Acaunus, Left Defense
-) Statius Urvinius Salinator, Left Defense
-) Ancus Pinarius Aurelius, Left Defense
-) Gnaeus Modius Scaevola, Goalie
-) Hostus Venuleius Processus, Goalie
The Maremago Wine Hogs are at the upper end of the lower half of the pack for this inaugural season. They have, in every position, some excellent, really fantastic players, and in the same positions players who simply should not be allowed to play the game. An example would be their goalies, one, at the top of his game and almost the best in the entire league. The other? One of the worst goalies we've seen in the RHL so far.
Another team from the Northern Division are the Antipolis Bishops. Named after what is called to be the most holy city in all of the Republic. The stadium for this franchise was built into a modern cathedral that was donated to the team in exchange for half of their profit, which was enthusiastically accepted. The stadium still works as a Cathedral, with the seats able to be removed. Although the franchise has come under fire for mandating that all guests who come to see a game must be baptized and confirmed Christians. And here's the roster:
-) Postumus Amusanus Ninnianus, Center
-) Sextus Sisenna Protacius, Center
-) Faustus Sennius Maior, Center
-) Octavius Pomtinus Calvisianus, Center
-) Aulus Steius Indus, Right Wing
-) Appius Suetonius Trebonianus, Right Wing
-) Maximus Terefrius Rufio, Right Wing
-) Hostus Nymphidius Manlianus, Right Wing
-) Vopiscus Barrius Albanianus, Left Wing
-) Faustus Ummidius Iovianus, Left Wing
-) Postumus Ebetius Marcialis, Left Wing
-) Tullus Epidius Amarantus, Left Wing
-) Faustus Barrius Lucilianus, Right Defense
-) Marcus Pluticius Labeo, Right Defense
-) Gaius Vestorius Spinther, Right Defense
-) Numerius Togonius Saenarius, Left Defense
-) Sextus Sinnius Herennius, Left Defense
-) Manius Turcilius Caudex, Left Defense
-) Opiter Numisius Favor, Goalie
-) Postumus Vedodius Zenodotus, Goalie
The Antipolis Bishops are set to have an alright season. When compared to the other teams competing in the RHL this year they're doing pretty good, a solid mix of experienced and novice players should hopefully give them the upper edge for most of the season against the smaller and poorer teams. Although against the big juggernauts they'll probably be left in the dust. But there's always the future, drafts, and trades that they can make.
The second team hailing from the bird sanctuary of Aquinoctium, the White Hawks are named after an inland bird from the same region. Dwelling in only a small area of land among the Appian Mountain Range, the white hawk has become a symbol for the utmost discipline and hardiness. Which the Aquinoctium White Hawks hope to embody and prove in this upcoming season. With two bird teams in the same city, which one will come out on top? And here's the roster:
-) Salvius Acutius Cursor, Center
-) Volesus Roscius Fronto, Center
-) Minius Thoranius Canina, Center
-) Tiberius Scutarius Satullus, Center
-) Tullus Spedioleius Moderatillus, Right Wing
-) Numa Vestricius Calaritanus, Right Wing
-) Opiter Nonius Quadratus, Right Wing
-) Spurius Arrius Buccio, Right Wing
-) Faustus Fidiculanius Ecletus, Left Wing
-) Herius Helvidius Decimus, Left Wing
-) Publius Salvidius Priscillus, Left Wing
-) Proculus Placidius Hilarius, Left Wing
-) Aulus Flavius Sulinus, Right Defense
-) Proculus Considius Lunaris, Right Defense
-) Agrippa Stallius Publicus, Right Defense
-) Taurus Stlaccius Laurus, Left Defense
-) Nonus Flavius Macerinus, Left Defense
-) Sertor Amafinius Dioscourides, Left Defense
-) Decius Castricius Cupitus, Goalie
-) Gnaeus Helvidius Mamertinus, Goalie
With both bird teams from the same city, the question on who will come out on top is truly in the air as both teams are neck and neck as far as skill and experience goes. The only thing that might give the White Hawks the advantage is their defensive line, which is marginally better than the Golden Eagles of the National Division. But the real question is, aside from this inter-city rivalry, is how well will the White Hawks perform against the rest of the league? Will they do good? Or will they just have to wait for the draft to see?
The Valentianae Legless Lovers are not named after mermaids, mermen, or any other fantastical mythical or mythological creature. It is instead named after a pair of ancient lovers who were persecuted for one reason or another, and both of them were gored in half by a sacrificial bull before dying in a loving embrace (or as close as they could get being stuck looking like a pair of Geodudes). The team mascot is, unfortunately enough for the story, just the bull, no legless lovers involved. Although the franchise does donate a quarter of all its profits to charities for those who have become crippled or disabled, making almost every game for them a sold out one. And here's the roster:
-) Volesus Servilius Caesennianus, Center
-) Novius Sagurius Desiderius, Center
-) Manius Livius Comitinus, Center
-) Nonus Nasidius Sulla, Center
-) Vopiscus Dercullius Ravilla, Right Wing
-) Decius Faminius Honoratianus, Right Wing
-) Tullus Resius Fides, Right Wing
-) Lucius Rabonius Thrasea, Right Wing
-) Marius Cilnius Dorso, Left Wing
-) Marcus Satrienus Dacicus, Left Wing
-) Paccius Seius Quintillanius, Left Wing
-) Publius Priscius Afra, Left Wing
-) Statius Hostius Martinianus, Right Defense
-) Gnaeus Segulius Maximus, Right Defense
-) Mettius Suetonius Blandinus, Right Defense
-) Opiter Thoranius Irenaeus, Left Defense
-) Postumus Burrienus Corvinus, Left Defense
-) Gaius Laelius Spurinna, Left Defense
-) Tullus Caecius Sacerdos, Goalie
-) Aulus Tedisenus Babulla, Goalie
The Valentianae Legless Lovers have a solid line up across all six positions that can be played. For the most part, their team is performing above average, and above what is usually expected at the professional level (looking of course, at the other teams in the RHL). There are a few stragglers, mostly the rookies, who are taking their time to get used to playing at the professional level. Although this team does have a bright future.
Similar to the Northern Division, although quite obviously not in the North, the Southern Division is located in the Southern regions of the Republic. On the far border of the nation and along the Western Coast. The cities in their past have been known to harbor large industrial and manufacturing industries and sectors, and often time the arenas of the teams that play here often reflect that history. The fans of each of these franchises are often more than happy to let everyone know that.
Along the Southern section of the Western coast of Stin is the city of Syracuse. A large-ish city when compared to the rest of the country, the city of Syracuse is home to three of the largest ten military bases in the Republic. Two army bases as well as a dual-navy-airforce base gives reason for the RHL team from this city to be named after the legendary historic hoplite, the pinnacle of masculinity. And here is the roster:
-) Ovius Arpineius Quintillus, Center
-) Paccius Fulginas Glabrio, Center
-) Publius Antistius Hasta, Center
-) Attius Puccasius Capra, Center
-) Caeso Annius Caecilianus, Right Wing
-) Tiberius Allectius Forianus, Right Wing
-) Manius Messius Sedulus, Right Wing
-) Lucius Minatius Exoriens, Right Wing
-) Manius Mallius Porcellus, Left Wing
-) Paullus Opsidius Processus, Left Wing
-) Taurus Litrius Bestia, Left Wing
-) Septimus Satrienus Firminillus, Left Wing
-) Marcus Viridius Attilianus, Right Defense
-) Maximus Falcidius Iynx, Right Defense
-) Minius Titucius Cantaber, Right Defense
-) Septimus Tuccius Curvus, Left Defense
-) Gnaeus Aburius Decor, Left Defense
-) Tullus Cestius Pollienus, Left Defense
-) Tullus Pasidienus Pacilus, Goalie
-) Novius Stlaccius Calvinus, Goalie
Right up like a handful of other teams playing in the RHL, the Syracuse Hoplites are running in the middle of the pack. They've got meh to decent players all around in all six positions, and they don't necessarily excel or fail in any one point. There are a few things to look out for this season, especially when it comes to their goalies however, and the hoplites could very well be planning to replace one if not the both of them very soon. Syracuse this season could be planning to start a rebuild, having no real talent on the time at this time any way.
Second in the Southern Division are the Corvinium Ravens, named after the official bird of the City of Corvinium, and after the largest part found in the Southern part of Stin Ravens are coming into this season hot, looking to make the first even season a professional sports team has played in the city of Corvinium a good one. With a completely brand new stadium that has had nothing but trainings played in it up until now, we can only hope that this team will put on a show for the RHL and beyond. No introducing the roster:
-) Mettius Rubrenus Ursillius, Center
-) Numerius Ploticius Trypho, Center
-) Sextus Sabinius Mammula, Center
-) Caeso Albinius Catuarus, Center
-) Pompo Alfius Vespa, Right Wing
-) Numa Numerius Pupianus, Right Wing
-) Opiter Vibenius Propertius, Right Wing
-) Quintus Papius Babulla, Right Wing
-) Tullus Lentidius Ravilla, Left Wing
-) Marius Fufetius Claudianus, Left Wing
-) Mamercus Postumius Orissus, Left Wing
-) Quintus Vestius Flaccinator, Left Wing
-) Salvius Condetius Herculanus, Right Defense
-) Hostus Crassicius Plautianus, Right Defense
-) Nonus Gagilius Natalinus, Right Defense
-) Minius Caesulenus Aeacus, Left Defense
-) Novius Gagilius Suburanus, Left Defense
-) Septimus Titucius Minucianus, Left Defense
-) Marius Obellius Tanicus, Goalie
-) Novius Mettius Ingeniosus, Goalie
The Corvinium Ravens have been an exciting team to watch so far in their training, and for the whole 20 man roster this will be there first time ever playing in a professiona league, leaving much to be wondered, and hoped for this brand new team. Looking however at the semi-professional records of the Corvinium Ravens players we can see that even in their former leagues, they were among the best of the best despite how this oncoming season goes. Analysts at the RSAC (Republic Sports Analysis Center) have already deduced that they ill be towards the front of the pack if not in the middle.
The third team hailing from the Southern Division are the Luentinum Sea Bears, named after another mythical creature, a bear that lives entirely underwater. Not the most interesting thing to happen in Stinnish folklore, but nonetheless it's still there. And you'll be damned if the citizens of Luentinum don't parade it around like it's the best thing ever. The Sea Bears as we, taking the name of this piece of folklore are practically worshipped by the people of this city. And here's the roster:
-) Numerius Maccienus Voluptas, Center
-) Attius Gratius Pantera, Center
-) Agrippa Messienus Verginianus, Center
-) Octavius Vibulliacus Tusculus, Center
-) Opiter Festinius Gaianus, Right Wing
-) Vibius Popaedius Atilianus, Right Wing
-) Herius Sepunius Musicus, Right Wing
-) Vopiscus Arsinius Marianillus, Right Wing
-) Pompo Propertius Betto, Left Wing
-) Agrippa Teiustius Rullus, Left Wing
-) Faustus Caesonius Opimianus, Left Wing
-) Decius Verres Fufianus, Left Wing
-) Numerius Dexius Crotilo, Right Defense
-) Proculus Bavius Aculeo, Right Defense
-) Titus Mescinius Pacuvianus, Right Defense
-) Sertor Steius Decembris, Left Defense
-) Decimus Nesulna Regillensis, Left Defense
-) Faustus Trismpedius Gaudentius, Left Defense
-) Numa Cotius Pera, Goalie
-) Numerius Vetilius Tremulus, Goalie
The Sea Bears have a good line up heading into this season. A solid offensive line to make up for a slightly weaker defense, although both the goalies for the Sea Bears are though to exceed whatever expectations are given to them. Numa Cotius Pera in particular, is ranked in the Top 5 current players, and looking at his previous record it is not surprise why. Hopefully the Sea Bears can keep their offense up enough to support their goalies, and make it to the playoffs.
The final team in both the Southern Division, as well as the RHL as a whole, goes to the Saguntum Treasurers, named after the nearby headquarters of the Republics Treasury Department, and meeting place of the Quastors and Aediles of the Republic. The Saguntum Treasurers are a sense of pride for the city, and for the House of Magistrates that convene within it. Often times during the hockey season of leagues prior, debates would be paused for the entire legislative body to go and watch the hockey game without criticism at the arena. And for the Treasurers, the roster:
-) Octavius Pompilius Bruccius, Center
-) Spurius Vatinius Abundantius, Center
-) Nerius Staius Scribonianus, Center
-) Manius Plinius Pusio, Center
-) Tullus Curtilius Manilianus, Right Wing
-) Faustus Sabucius Fadus, Right Wing
-) Attius Summianius Primillus, Right Wing
-) Herius Salvidienus Cyprianus, Right Wing
-) Pompo Lacerius Septimillus, Left Wing
-) Spurius Lafrenius Philo, Left Wing
-) Paullus Gellius Rufinianus, Left Wing
-) Decius Falerius Bruccius, Left Wing
-) Gnaeus Quinquaius Falconillus, Right Defense
-) Numa Sellius Togidubnus, Right Defense
-) Septimus Pleminius Optatio, Right Defense
-) Statius Opimius Damasus, Left Defense
-) Minatus Scuilius Rufianus, Left Defense
-) Numerius Carsicius Pammachius, Left Defense
-) Salvius Clutorius Rebilus, Goalie
-) Numerius Faucius Hermogenes, Goalie
The Saguntum Treasurers are in a very good position for the start of the season, especially with their goalies and defensive line. Ranking among the best out of all the teams so far playing in the first season of the RHL, the Treasurers are a few analysts favorite, not just for their ability and control over the puck, but for the teams lengthy history and fantastic roster of well known and even famous players. The only thing that will worry some fans of this team is the lackluster offense, especially when compared to the rest of the team. But in this season of the RHL, anything can happen.
Having reviewed all 32 teams heading into the inaugural season of the RHL, we can finally begin the season. Today, November 6th, 2036, will mark the first day ever that the RHL plays. And to kick of this season we'll have 8 hours straight of non-stop Hockey action, with all teams playing on the same day. Don't forget to tune in on your preferred sports station, radio, or streaming service!

please can you all forgive me and i promise i won't get involved in any raids or anything like that
like i said already i thought the raiders were lying because in another region that was raided there was no reason at all for the raid other than fun for the raider
I have no reason to accept this apology, if you defended Brebina, then you have contributed to its filth as well.
I can't tell you for certain if anyone is planning to raid IWN, buuuut, I think it'd be good to note that "Astoria has its eyes on you.", anything else? :>

Bah, you continued to support Brebina even after your "apology", makes me doubt just how genuine your apology is...

Yoriko, Yunora
The first official embassy outside of the eastern pact was welcomed to Yunora with open arms, as Olivio's former Undersecretary for the department of International Affairs, Eliza Botio, arrived as their ambassador. The new embassy is located in Yoriko city on Airakira street, a bustling financial hub close to the theater district. Funai Gina, the minister of foreign affairs for Yunora, personally greeted Eliza Botio and emphasized the importance of the relationship between Olivio and Yunora. Eliza Botio was then taken by horse-drawn carriage to meet Yoneda Katsumi, the master of moon ceremonies in Yunora, for the formal presentation of her credentials. This ceremony officially established Eliza Botio as the ambassador from Olivio to Yunora.

Yoriko, Yunora
During the excavation of a new subway line in Yoriko city, construction workers unearthed an ancient tablet. The government was promptly notified and the tablet was given to Yoneda Katsumi, the master of moon ceremonies. According to Yoneda Katsumi, the tablet dates back to Moonora, the first nation of the Nora people and a period considered to be their golden age. The depiction on the tablet shows a meteor from the moon goddess that is worshipped by Yunorans. The moon monks believe this site could be located on an unclaimed island near Tazarskia, which Prime Minister Nomura Haruki sees as a holy site for Yunora. Yoneda Katsumi emphasizes that this discovery has the potential to reconnect Yunorans with their Moonoran heritage and usher in a new era of prosperity.
The Prime Minister called for an emergency meeting with her closest advisors, eager to discuss the implications of this monumental find. As they gathered around a large table in his ornate office, the room filled with an air of anticipation and awe."Yunora has always been a nation rooted in tradition and spirituality," Prime Minister Nomura began in her calm yet authoritative voice. "Our people have long yearned for a connection to their Moonoran heritage. Tazarskia and New Evinio must grant Yunora access to this island to determine if it is indeed the site of the moon goddesses meteor"!
