Esenanoris Finishes Construction

To mark the start of the new 19th century the Elves of the Republic of Unike had slowly over the past decade begun the construction of a new capital, Esenanoris, to replace the old one of Beiyo. While Beiyo remains still functional the city has gradually fallen into disrepair had been absorbed back into the taiga forest that Unike is famous for at this point. In general the Unikean Republic maintains some trade relations with the nearby nations of Aramer (Koronic) and Uwu (Sateru) but has mostly kept to itself being distrustful of the outside world. Aramer and Unike in particular have an interesting relationship having fought at numerous points throughout the history of both countries. In the modern day and age Unike views Aramer as a neighbour worthy of respect and neither country has fought the other for quite some time.

As such to mark the completion of the capital in Esenanoris we are inviting the leaders of Aramer and Uwu to come and see it, and potentially establish some formal diplomatic ties as well! We hope this will be a grand opportunity to show of Elven engineering to the world.

New Temple to Aeya Finishes Construction

Aeya, the Whistling Gale, god of the sky, is one of the more popular gods in Hálendi. This is partly due to the royal family of Hálendi's longtime public favoritism of the god. In fact, devotion to the sky has long effected Hálendi's decision making, one classic example being the nation's famous airships. King Midens the VII continued his family's favoritism recently by funding a massive new temple to Aeya in the capital city of Hihlas. The temple officially opened today, marking the beginning of the new century with celebrations unusually ostentatious for Aeya's traditional ascetic priests. The celebrations lasted all day and the king himself was even present in the temple for several hours. The priests at the temple are lead by Skybreaker Francis Ranj, who many criticize as a fundamentalist, a scathing criticism in Hálendi, which follows a pluralist pantheon of gods. The festivities received further criticism, especially from devotees of Kranfar the fire god, as New Year's Day is the most sacred of holidays for Kranfar due to her additional status as a god of renewal and rebirth. Despite this criticism, many support the new temple. King Midens the VII is somewhat renowned for his stingy control of the treasury, and many applaud this use of funds for the people. Regardless, all can agree that the temple, done in the traditional Aeyan style of an open air amphitheater, is one of the most beautiful temples in the city of Hihlas. Capable of holding over 20,000 worshippers at once, the new temple defines the Silver district it is a part of. Rooms, all exposed to the open sky, are adorned with the necessary tools and resources for every Aeyan ritual there is, and already there is talk of all future Aeyan temples being done in this more ornate take on classic Aeyan temple architecture.

Your Friendly Neighbor

Dionysia is a new nation, born of the embers of the Principality of Athonia, which was burned from the inside out. Now divided into two, the Grand Duchy of Athonia and the Grand County of Hellenos, a new political system based on tolerance and freedom has emerged. Dionysia welcomes all with open arms who flee oppression and discrimination.

While from the outside things appear to be going well for the country, with a thriving economy and stable politics, from the inside it’s a union on the verge of collapse, held together by one singular string. The Queen of Dionysia and the High Priestess regularly are at arms against each other, both abusing their powers however they can to try and one up each other.

Most of the southern portion of Dionysia is what makes up the Grand Duchy, which is ruled by the Grand Duchess. Athonia has a united army, something both the federal government and the Grand County lack. Besides having a common army, not much else is centralized in the Grand County, as the Dukes and Duchesses within the Duchies inside the Grand Duchy regulate themselves and are in charge of conducting their own business. Athonia hosts the nations capital of Dionapolis, the largest city in the country and principal financial center, the majority of trade to Dionysia is brought to Dionapolis.

The Grand County may not have a united army, instead each individual County which resides within it having their own army or militia, they are more united politically and religiously. The vast majority of Hellenos are followers of the Cult of Dionysus, while large of southern Athonia are infidels. The Grand County is ruled by the Grand Count and a legislative body. The legislature of Hellenos is divided into two houses, the Council of the County and Parliament. One County sticks out compared to the others, the County of the Northern Forest. It’s disconnected and far from the mainland of Grand County, it’s the most remote location in all Dionysia, located entirely within a jungle. It was a possession taken over by the former Prince of Athonia, who sent settlers to the region but many of them were driven back out by the natives. During the civil war, they sided with the Cultists against the Prince, and have remained with them since then. It became a popular tourist destination over time, the most biodiverse place in all of Dionysia, home to many strange and beautiful creatures (and locals). But four years ago travel to and from the Northern Forest has been almost completely banned for most people without direct permission of the Grand Count. Those that have been allowed to go speak of strange rumors amongst the locals, while before the native people inhabited the jungle and considered it a sacred place, they have suddenly all moved to coastal settlements alongside the Dionysian settlers, which is the only deforested part of the County. They say that the Counties army patrols the edge of the forest constantly, and travel between towns has been restricted too. Posters are plastered everywhere saying things like “The Court is Your Friend,” “Trust in the Court, Trust in the Cult,” “The Forest is your Enemy” and “Your Neighbors Will Lie! See no Evil, Hear no Evil.” Some say that if you venture into the forest, no one will ever come to look for you. Even the mothers of the region refuse to enter if their children venture into the forest. They speak of horrors beyond comprehension, a feeling that everyone around you doesn’t look right, everyone is weirdly quiet and once thriving communities of happy natives who hosted grand festivals and feasts now refuse to leave their homes or dare practice their colorful cultural traditions. It’s a shell of what it once was, and while this is odd it’s no reason for concern. It’s so far from the rest of the country, most people probably don’t even know it’s part of Dionysia. Whatever curse has been placed on the people of the north doesn’t affect the life of the mainland.

The Mystery of Hermits

As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting hues of gold and crimson across the sprawling city of Eden, the Esotericracy of Edenedair stood as a beacon of mysticism and intrigue amidst the tumultuous landscape of Southwest Drage. From the towering spires of the Arcane Pyramid of Ancient Knowledge to the bustling markets of the lower districts, the realm pulsed with the energy of a nation on the cusp of transformation.

At the heart of Eden, amidst the labyrinthine streets and shadowy alleyways, whispered rumors of political upheaval and clandestine machinations danced on the lips of citizens and nobles alike. The air crackled with tension as the Esoteric Regency grappled with internal strife and external pressures, each faction vying for supremacy in the halls of power.

Within the Arcane Pyramid, where the Legislative Council of the Arcane Pyramid of Ancient Knowledge convened, debates raged over the future direction of the realm. The radicalist conservatives of the White Council clamored for a return to the old ways, invoking the spirits of ancient sorcerers and seers to bolster their cause. Meanwhile, the Eruist Sacrosanct's Seneschal Army of Light championed a vision of progress and enlightenment, urging the populace to embrace the winds of change sweeping across the land.

Outside the walls of power, amidst the sprawling markets and labyrinthine streets of Eden, the common folk whispered of discontent and disillusionment. Tales of corruption and nepotism ran rampant, as whispers of bribery and backroom deals tarnished the once-glowing image of the Esoteric Regency. Yet, despite the simmering unrest, the wheels of commerce continued to turn, fueled by the boundless ambition of merchants and artisans seeking fortune within the city's bustling markets.

Amidst the chaos and uncertainty, the Edenedair Forces stood as a stalwart bastion of strength and resolve. Led by the indomitable Lord Protector of the Regency, Josephier Aldaerron, the army stood ready to defend the realm against any who would dare threaten its sovereignty. From the disciplined ranks of the Corps of Arcane Guardians to the elite units of the Royal Guard, the military prowess of Edenedair remained unmatched, a testament to the enduring spirit of the realm.

Yet, even amidst the backdrop of economic prosperity and military might, whispers of dissent lingered on the lips of the disenfranchised and downtrodden. In the shadowed corners of the city, clandestine meetings were held, as secret societies and underground movements plotted against the oppressive yoke of the Esoteric Regency. From the impoverished slums of the lower districts to the opulent palaces of the nobility, the seeds of revolution were sown, waiting only for the right moment to bloom.

As the stars began to twinkle in the night sky, casting their ethereal light upon the city below, the fate of Edenedair hung in the balance. In the hallowed halls of power, amidst the swirling currents of intrigue and ambition, the future of the realm awaited its reckoning. Whether it be salvation or damnation, only time would tell the tale of the Esotericracy of Edenedair, but one thing still hung in the air, and that was the smell of revolution, a revolution of change, brought by desilusión in the last and firey hope in the future.

Hayakanai, the Dead City

[sup][sub]Oh yes, I should probably add, this happens in the 1640s[/sub][/sup]

Amidst a tide of inexplicable phenomena sweeping through the urban expanse of Hayakanai, chronicled diligently by decree of King Uvryd, the decision to forsake the city was reluctantly reached. It began with curious incidents: objects vanishing only to reappear in different sizes, a prelude to the peculiarities to come. Swiftly, the city's authorities mobilized to unravel the enigma shrouding their streets.

Seven moons waxed and waned before their efforts bore fruit—a network of crude subterranean passages, a clandestine realm where anomalies thrived. Within this subterranean maze, torches stretched unnaturally, pillars stirred with ponderous intent, and walls defied permanence, transmuting into new passageways with capricious ease. In the heart of this living labyrinth lay a chamber adorned with arcane runes, arranged in a mystic circle, save for one vacant pedestal awaiting its sigil. These runes, radiant as the midnight sky, bore patterns alien to mortal ken.

As the intrepid explorers ventured deeper, a figure, hailing from an unseen path, materialized, bearing the missing rune. With a gesture, the final piece fell into place, setting in motion a seismic upheaval. The runes, aglow with ethereal energy, coalesced into a colossal orb that ruptured through the vaulted ceiling.

Thereafter, the aberrations escalated, transforming mundane into the miraculous: doors warped into solid barriers, chambers morphed with fluidity, and entire edifices were spirited away, leaving naught but bewilderment in their wake. Thus, Hayakanai stood witness to a metamorphosis beyond comprehension, its very essence entwined with the fabric of the arcane.

Desert Rage

The Qalama desert, located at the furthest frontier of Hálendi, has long been a sore spot for the government. The border along the desert has been heavily fortified to prevent the native qornask from attempting to launch their own counterattacks against Hálendi. Despite the fortifications, the qornask never tried anything outside of killing any invasion force that steps into their land. That changed today however as a massive qornask force launched an assault on the fort furthest into the desert. The estimates for their troops have led many within the army to conclude that this was a coordinated attack from multiple hives, a terrifying sign of cooperation from the qornask.

The battle lasted for days until the qornask managed to force the last defenders from the fort. The qornask had completely surrounded the fort, making communication with the outside world only possible through magic. The defenders did possess a few wind mages who could cast the necessary communication spells, however the qornask managed to kill all of these mages in some of the opening assaults on the fort. This led many defenders to conclude that there was a reverend mother leading the assault. This was seemingly confirmed as every assault seemed perfectly placed and every counterassault was perfectly deflected. When the few survivors made their way to the next closest fort, they quickly shared all they knew about the attack. Within just a few hours three airships had been dispatched to take out the qornask army from the sky.

The airships arrived to see the fort almost entirely dismantled and burning to the ground, with the desecrated bodies of the defenders forming a wall around the ruins of the fort. The airships quickly unleashed their weaponry on the army, causing a complete rout of the qornask. The Hálendi counterattack was fierce and merciless, but the ultimate symbolic victory was when an elite group of air mage soldiers located the reverend mother and abducted her. The sudden disappearance of their leader caused the already routing qornask army to completely dissolve as the bugs fled in every direction.

Hálendi has attempted to cover up the destruction of the fort, but they did hold a very public execution of the reverend mother in Hihlas after unsuccessfully attempting to extract information out of her through torture.

Victory at Gonzig

The Small village of Gonzig was recently sieged (either coordinated or just so happened) by the Creatures of the Forests for months now. However, the Confederate Militias have declared they have pushed back the main threats to the village, and have secured the village's security. Many soldiers were lost, however, the increased support for the Confederation in the Village had already been noticed, with people waving the flag of the Confederacy.

with this victory, the militias are getting closer to securing a safer west, however, the threat of the creatures is still large, and the Militias will do everything to make sure their homes are not destroyed, and their family turned into food, or worse.

Head these three warnings.

Let it be known to every decent citizen of this great nation that I pen this dire warning out of a solemn obligation to humanity. The terrible truths contained herein shall not be sanctioned by the contemptible curs who have meekly surrendered governance of Nator State to the blackest of malign influences.

First warning.

let me caution all who value their immortal souls to steer clear of that ill-omened hamlet by the name of Gracebee Harbor. For in that forsaken place, emissaries of evil are known to ply their foul trade, seeking by guile and deception to lure the unsuspecting into damnation's very maw. Many is the poor wretch who has received by post a villainous scrap of parchment, wherein vile promises of worldly riches are made, to be redeemed only at the blighted bank of that benighted town. But I beseech thee, no matter how sorely tempted by this bait, do not be so foolhardy as to venture forth and claim this blood-tainted tender!

Second warning.

let it be known to all who traverse near Gracebee Harbor or its environs, to exercise the utmost caution regarding the aerial denizens that haunt those skies. These winged beings, of feminine visage and uncanny allure, have ensnared countless souls, drawing them inexorably towards the water's edge where the grand White Ark, a vessel of colossal proportions, largest of any in all the world, languishes upon the sand. Should these creatures summon their dark sisters, their numbers shall overwhelm thee, compelling thy ingress into the foreboding expanse of the White Ark. None among the living have gazed upon its innermost sanctums and lived to recount the horrors concealed within—vampires, succubi, and goblinoid entities, some borne aloft by wings, others by limbs or even crawling upon all fours. None who have ventured therein have emerged to see the light of day anew.

Third warning

My Most Dreadful Caveat – should ye, by foulest ill fortune, descry in the glimmering gaslight of evening a slender figure of pallid and cadaverous aspect, some 5 foot and 8 inches in estimation, with raven locks obscured beneath the shadowed cowl of a grey cloak, and clad in a coat and breeches of verdant green hue, abandon all Earthly concerns and run! Run as swiftly as your mortal frame will permit, for you have borne witness to my own wretched, undying corporeal existence. Know that I pen these words as a common man rendered immortal by some devilish agency, and whilst my mind yet clings to shreds of human dignity, I cannot promise safety to those hapless souls who cross my path when I am overcome by darker humors and descend into my full, abhorred vampiric nature. For I regret to confess that in the sanguine throes of immortal bloodlust, I have already laid murderous hands upon the quick, and know not what foulness I may perpetrate.

A Festival of Spirits

Every so often Unikeans from all around the country gather in the Nalu'um Forest, the home of the Unikean Water Spirits. There there is a celebration that lasts 2 days consisting of dishes produced from the natural splendor around the site. A long with song and dance. On occasion coming of age ceremonies will be hold there as well, as that typically marks the age that an Unikean achieves proficiency in one of the three main elemental magic types. Those being Water, Air and Earth magic. There are insanely rare instances of those born with fire abilities but due to historical conflicts with the United Kingdoms of Aramer, very few Unikeans possess fire magic today. This has allowed us to become even stronger in the areas to compensate for that loss and has created a very unique culture as a result. This festival also serves as a way to honour our ancestors that came before us, and ultimately is in a way a spiritual rejuvenation of the nation. Similar to how the water spirits themselves rejuvenate. Attendance at this years gathering is expected to be high, in addition for the first time ever we will be opening the event to nations we have trade relations wtih as well! The Unikean government does ask that you request our traditions and customs, but our trade partners are welcome to come and partake in the festivities.

Separation

As the sound of rain falls onto the small houses and buildings of Samoer, some can’t but help to wonder if the different sides are really so different.

The mountain range that spans across the southern, rather large, island off the gulf of South Etheloria basically splits Samoer in half. There is very little you can do to communicate with one side to the other, as the mountains very much limit it. There is one opening between the mountains where you can head from one side to the other, but using the valley is often described as “grueling” as there is almost zero shelter from the constant rain or other precipitation. Going over the mountains is known to be a horrible idea, as rockfalls and mudslides are common. Because of this natural barrier, the region of Samoer, for many centuries, was two different countries, split into west and east. Yet one king claims them both.

King Ser I is one of the first kings in Samoerian history to claim and rule over both parts of Samoer, even though they are almost completely different. He is a very disputed king. Some say he has no right to own over both sides of Samoer, others disagree. Some believe that the people on the other side are not as pure or good as the people on the other side, even though they are the same race. Others very much dislike the policies he has made throughout his rein. One of his most disliked policies are about tallings, tallings are abnormally tall halflings. They are often disliked by regular halflings, yet the Talling Racial Reformation Act states that tallings are treated equally as halflings. (For comparison, a normal halfling is about 3-4 feet, or 0.9-1.2 meters, while a talling is 4-5 feet, or about 1.2-1.5 meters)

Eden Lost

Pirate Lords of the Seas

In the heart of the bustling port city of Eden, amidst whispers of clandestine dealings and shadowy alliances, a grand enterprise was born. With the blessings of the Esoteric Regency and the tacit approval of the Arcane Pyramid of Ancient Knowledge, the Esotericracy unveiled a daring and highly secretive initiative: the issuance of Letters of Marque.

Gathered within the opulent halls of the Arcane Pyramid, a select group of captains, merchants, and adventurers convened to witness the unveiling of this audacious endeavor. Under the watchful gaze of Lord Protector Josephier Aldaerron, the esteemed representatives of the Esotericracy outlined their vision for a grand corsair, privateer, and plunderer clientele capable of manning armadas and fleets to bolster piracy on the Southern Seas.

With the stroke of a quill and the seal of the Esoteric Regency, the first Letters of Marque were issued, granting their recipients the authority to prey upon the shipping lanes of rival nations marked by the Esotericracy and the Trading World Organisation. These daring individuals were entrusted with the task of defending the realm in times of war and against blockades, while also securing valuable goods and resources to be sold in TWO or Edenedair ports.

As the news of this grand enterprise spread like wildfire throughout the realm, whispers of excitement and trepidation echoed through the streets of Eden. The promise of untold riches and glory beckoned to bold adventurers and seasoned sailors alike, while whispers of retaliation and retribution hung like a shadow over those who dared to challenge the might of the Esotericracy.

In the weeks and months that followed, a steady stream of corsairs, privateers, and plunderers flocked to the port city of Eden, eager to pledge their allegiance to the cause. Armed with their Letters of Marque and fueled by the promise of fortune and fame, these daring individuals set sail upon the Southern Seas, their sails billowing in the wind as they embarked upon their daring quests.

Their first mark and targets? All other pirates not signed up for the proper Letters of Marque, any and all nations that blockade, stop, or otherwise hinder trade and trade routes as well as make any attempt at commanding them and their flow in beyond modest capacity than logical, as well as taking due from any force or foe daring to attack or bother those who are members of the Trading World Organisation, also allowing them to take bounties under the letter of Marque against rival or otherwise enemy shipment.

Hall of the Mountain Kingpin

In the hidden corners of the Esotericracy, beyond the watchful eyes of the Regent and the Arcane Pyramid of Ancient Knowledge, lurked the shadowy underworld known as the Crime Halls. These clandestine groups, shrouded in secrecy and steeped in intrigue, trafficked in all manner of illicit goods and services, from magical artifacts to arcane knowledge, from habit-forming substances to rare and dangerous weapons.

Led by enigmatic figures known as Mountain Kingpins, the Crime Halls operated from local to continental scales, their influence stretching across the realm like a web of darkness. From the bustling streets of Eden to the remote reaches of the Southern Seas, their reach knew no bounds, their networks of agents and informants spanning the length and breadth of the land.

Within the Crime Halls, power and influence were currency, traded freely among those willing to pay the price. Mountain Kingpins ruled over their domains with iron fists, their word law and their will absolute. Underlings vied for favor and prestige, eager to climb the ranks of the underworld hierarchy and claim their own piece of the pie.

But while the Crime Halls operated in the shadows, their dealings were not without consequence. For even as they profited from their nefarious enterprises, they found themselves ensnared in the machinations of the Esotericracy and its Regent. Under the shadowy thumb of the ruling elite, the Mountain Kingpins were forced to bend their will to the whims of the state, their vices and crimes redirected and restricted towards the Esotericracy's foes and targets of the Letters of Marque, only working minimal and least harmful of their activities within the Edenedair for the time being, with a secret 'crime tax' whilst working as agents for the Regent.

Yet, despite the ever-present threat of retribution, the Crime Halls thrived in the darkness, their networks of influence growing stronger with each passing day. For in a realm where magic and mysticism held sway, where power and wealth were the ultimate currencies, the allure of the underworld was impossible to resist. And as long as there were those willing to seek fortune in the shadows, the Crime Halls would continue to cast their long shadow over the realms beyond Edenedair.

The Esoteric Fist

As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting its final rays upon the shimmering waters of the Southern Seas, the Grand Navy of the Esotericracy sailed forth on a mission of justice and retribution. With sails unfurled and cannons primed, the mighty warships of the realm cut through the waves like daggers, their crews brimming with determination and resolve.

Led by the stalwart Admiral Galen Stormbringer, the Royal Guard and Grand Navy embarked upon a relentless pursuit of criminals who dared to defy the authority of the Regent and the Arcane Pyramid of Ancient Knowledge. From petty smugglers to notorious pirate lords, no quarry was too elusive for the keen-eyed sailors and soldiers of the realm.

Yet, as they hunted down their targets with ruthless efficiency, a sense of unease gnawed at the hearts of the men and women of the Grand Navy and Royal Guard. For while they were sworn to uphold the laws of the Esotericracy, they could not shake the feeling that they were being used as pawns in a larger game, manipulated by unseen forces beyond their control.

The Pirate Kings and Mountain Kingpins they pursued were no ordinary criminals; they were cunning and resourceful, their networks of informants and allies extending far and wide. With every twist and turn, they eluded capture, leaving behind a trail of chaos and destruction in their wake.

And yet, despite the odds stacked against them, the Grand Navy and Royal Guard pressed on, their determination unshaken by the challenges they faced. With each victory, they brought a measure of justice to the realm, striking fear into the hearts of those who would dare to challenge the authority of the Esotericracy.

But even as they celebrated their successes, the sailors and soldiers of the realm knew that their work was far from over. For the Pirate Kings and Mountain Kingpins remained at large, their shadowy influence casting a long shadow over the realm. And as long as they continued to operate with impunity, the Grand Navy and Royal Guard would remain locked in a never-ending struggle for control of the seas.

The Banners of the Regency

As the sun rose over the majestic city of Eden, casting its golden rays upon the glistening waters of the harbor, a new era dawned for the Esotericracy of Edenedair. Emboldened by the success of their grand enterprise and fueled by a desire for power and dominance, the rulers of the realm embarked upon a bold and ambitious campaign of expansion and fortification.

In the heart of the capital city, the clang of hammers and the roar of machinery echoed through the streets as rapid construction and expansion efforts got underway. Shipyards, barracks, and fortifications sprung up like mushrooms, dotting the landscape with symbols of military might and strategic importance.

At the harbor, the once-sleepy shipyards bustled with activity as new vessels were laid down and old ones refurbished. From sleek warships to massive galleons, the Esotericracy spared no expense in bolstering its naval capabilities, determined to assert its dominance over the Southern Seas.

Meanwhile, on land, vast swathes of territory were earmarked for the construction of barracks and fortifications, strategically positioned to guard key trade routes and chokepoints. Mighty walls rose from the earth, their imposing presence serving as a stark reminder of the Esotericracy's unwavering commitment to defense and security, with aid of workers and architect magicians of the earth element.

Within the walls of the capital city itself, Eden underwent a transformation not unlike any other. Already a fortress in its own right, the city's defenses were further bolstered with the addition of towering ramparts and fortified gatehouses. Streets were widened to accommodate the passage of troops and supplies, while hidden passages and underground tunnels were constructed to thwart would-be infiltrators.

But perhaps most chilling of all was the tightening grip of the Esoteric Regency over the populace. Dissent and rebellion were already swiftly quashed, now further, as surveillance and censorship became the norm. The once-vibrant streets of Eden grew silent as the residents learned to speak in hushed tones, lest their words be overheard by the ever-watchful eyes of the state.

Yet, amidst the clamor of construction and the tightening grip of authoritarian rule, whispers of discontent lingered on the lips of the oppressed. For every brick laid and every soldier trained, there were those who questioned the wisdom of the Regency's actions. And as the Esotericracy poured more wealth into military spending, some began to wonder whether they were preparing for war or inviting it.

In the shadowy depths of the barracks and bases, aboard the decks of mighty warships, and within the hallowed halls of command rooms, a silent camaraderie flourished among the ranks of the Esotericracy's military. Bound together by the shared rigors of training, the thrill of battle, and the weight of duty, soldiers, sailors, and officers alike formed their own societies and cultures within the heart of the realm's military machine.

Whispers echoed through the corridors, carrying tales of valor and triumph, of battles won and comrades lost. In the mess halls, men and women gathered to share stories and laughter, forging bonds that transcended rank and station. From the greenest recruit to the most seasoned veteran, all were united by a common purpose: to serve the Esotericracy with unwavering loyalty and devotion.

Yet, amidst the camaraderie and shared hardships, a quiet tension simmered beneath the surface. As eyes darted furtively from one face to another, thoughts unspoken hung heavy in the air. Some wondered at the growing might of the military and its implications for the realm, while others cast wary glances at the enigmatic figures of the Regency, their motives shrouded in secrecy.

In the command rooms, ambitious men stood proud over maps of the world, tracing the lines of trade routes and strategic positions with practiced hands. Young and old alike, they whispered of grand designs and bold strategies, their voices hushed but their ambitions burning bright.

And yet, amid the whispers and the wondering, there was a palpable sense of unity and purpose among the ranks. For as soldiers and sailors looked upon their arms, they saw not just weapons of war, but symbols of strength and resolve. They saw the power to defend their homeland and protect their loved ones, to forge a future free from tyranny and oppression.

In the end, it was not words that bound them together, but silent nods and wordless stares. It was the unspoken desire to stand shoulder to shoulder in the face of adversity, to fight for a cause greater than themselves. And as they stood together, united in purpose and determination, the heart of the Esotericracy's military beat strong, a testament to the indomitable spirit of those who dared to dream of a better world.

The Mad Regent of Mysticism

In the hallowed halls of the Palace and the Arcane Pyramid of Ancient Knowledge, the Regent of the Esotericracy moved with an air of regal authority, his every step guided by the whispers of enchantment and the echoes of mysticism. Veiled in the trappings of arcane power and devout to the old ways of the Allfather Eru, he wielded his influence with a subtle hand, manipulating those around him like pawns on a chessboard.

With each carefully chosen word and gesture, the Regent spun a web of deception and intrigue, weaving together threads of untruths and idealism from the past to command the future. Behind his mask of conviction and righteousness lay a mind consumed by cynicism and paranoia, haunted by thoughts of betrayal, ruin, and malice.

As he moved through the corridors of power, the Regent's thoughts were a tempest of conflicting emotions. On one hand, he reveled in the intoxicating allure of power, relishing the adoration of his subjects and the fear of his enemies. On the other hand, he was plagued by doubts and insecurities, his grip on reality slipping as he delved deeper into the shadows of his own mind.

At times, he found solace in the ancient tomes and scrolls of the Arcane Pyramid, losing himself in the timeless wisdom of the Allfather Eru. But even as he sought refuge in the mysteries of the arcane, he could not escape the gnawing sense of dread that gnawed at his soul, driving him ever further into madness.

And so, the Regent ruled with an iron fist, his every decree and proclamation laced with the bitter taste of cynicism and despair. Behind the facade of authority and control, he waged a silent war against his own demons, grappling with the specter of betrayal and the ever-present threat of downfall. A downfall he was building up brick by brick like fortress by a river which is soon to flood and take him away from the contraption he had laboured to construct, letting it be claimed by the future he sought to command, that time will tell the aftermath of, in due time.

Steyntruthmen, City of World's Desires

Steyntruthmen, the famous City of the Arts, a City of Culture and the Grand City of Trade, a crucial part of the world economy. If you want to purchase fine arts or great artifacts, it most likely has circulated through Steyntruthmen's museums and trade halls at some point in it's history. Located on the Western coast of Arstoria, Steyntruthmen is the most important city economically in the Drage Sea until you get to the Drage Strait in Dionysia, if you're cut off from Steyntruthmen, you're cut off from the Drage. The Old City of Steyntruthmen, the core and heart of the city is the seat of the Lord Protector of Arstoria, Angus XI. The Old City is the last holdout of conservatism in Steyntruthmen, with the Triumvir of the City Council in control of the portion of the city suppressing most change before it happens. Then there's the Grand Harbour and it's surrounding areas, a hub of culture, change and global trade. The neighbourhoods being culturally diverse, being homes of cultures from across the Drage, the ports bring in and take out fine arts through Arstoria's museums and trade halls, and the warehouses are constantly filled sky high with goods and luxuries. Then there is the new city, home to hundreds of thousands and the heart of Steyntruthmen. Academics collect from across the world in the Angus I Royal University and the Drage Global Arts Museum, the people of the nation collect annually in the Grand Square for festivals and celebrations and merchants collect in the National Trade Halls to purchase fine arts and great goods. Steyntruthmen truly is a city of world's desire.

Though on the underground of the city, criminals and pirates often loot and rob the less protected parts of the city. Under the city, massive tunnel networks give criminals access directly into banks, shops and homes where the law does not watch. Pirates enter the city as merchant vessels and leave under the Jolly Roger, leaving for the great trade routes of the Drage to loot and rob.

News Leaks

Despite the government’s best efforts, news of the recent destruction of Fort Golovin has been leaked to the press. The leaker is unknown, and it could be anyone from one of the soldiers involved, to someone in high command. Although many suspect that it was simply a soldier, some of the information leaked indicates that whoever it was is likely at least an officer. The issue is of great concern to the king, who has declared this leakage to be a personal insult to his rule.

The news of Fort Golovin’s destruction is sweeping the nation and many Lamner, living in the duchy closest to Fort Golovin, are openly concerned about the government’s ability to protect them. The news is quickly becoming a hot button issue that all sides of the political spectrum are weighing in on. Many who oppose the government’s involvement in the Qalama desert have pointed to this attack as the inevitable consequences of trying to subjugate the Qornask. Others say this is sign that the government hasn’t invested enough in the military. Regardless of where you stand, everyone agrees that the government doesn’t look good right now. The execution of the reverend mother behind the assault has quickly been forgotten as everyone argues about how to solve this issue.

The loudest grumblings by far have come from the lamner of Dol Akron, located a mere 160 kilometers from the Qalama desert. Already there are whispers of revolt in the city, which has prompted the king to dispatch two divisions of the army to reenforce order in the city. Interestingly, the news of Fort Golovin’s destruction had a very different impact on the central goblins. 5 clans immediately enlisted for the army upon news reaching them that the fort had been destroyed.

DawningEnlightenment

By Gurgej! A Bat of Terries!

In the heart of the bustling city of Eden, nestled within the confines of a modest laboratory, a brilliant Edenedair scientist by the name of Dr. Eldrin Stormweaver toiled tirelessly in pursuit of knowledge and discovery. Born of humble origins, Dr. Stormweaver had carved out a name for himself in the academic circles of Edenedair, his independent background and insatiable curiosity driving him to push the boundaries of scientific understanding.

It was during one fateful experiment that Dr. Stormweaver stumbled upon a revolutionary breakthrough: the invention of the first battery. Drawing inspiration from the natural elements of the world around him, he devised three versions of his creation: a scientific model, harnessing the principles of chemistry and metallurgy; inventing the voltaic pile and discovered the first practical method of generating electricity, constructed of alternating discs of zinc and copper with pieces of cardboard soaked in brine between the metals, the voltic pile produced electrical current, the metallic conducting arc was used to carry the electricity over a greater distance, Stormweaver's voltaic pile was the first 'wet cell battery' that produced a reliable, steady current of electricity- Then also a magical variant, tapping into the arcane energies that permeated the realm; The magical variant of Dr. Stormweaver's battery taps into the arcane energies that suffuse the realm of Edenedair, instead of relying on chemical reactions like its scientific counterpart, this magical battery channels ambient magical energies into a contained reservoir, where they are harnessed and converted into electrical power, by utilizing enchanted crystals or runes imbued with mystical properties, the battery is able to sustain a steady flow of energy, unaffected by the limitations of traditional chemical batteries, this magical variant offers the advantage of near-limitless potential, drawing upon the vast well of magical energy that permeates the world of Edenedair— And the hybrid version, blending the best of both worlds to create a marvel of magic-tech innovation; As for the hybrid version, it represents a fusion of scientific ingenuity and mystical prowess, blending the principles of chemistry with the arcane arts to create a truly innovative power source, i this hybrid battery, metallic components are infused with enchanted alloys, enhancing their conductivity and efficiency, the chemical reactions within the battery are augmented by spells and enchantments, allowing for greater energy output and longevity, additionally, the hybrid battery may incorporate magical amplification circuits or containment fields to further enhance its performance and stability,by marrying the best aspects of both scientific and magical approaches, the hybrid battery achieves unparalleled levels of power and reliability, paving the way for a new era of magic-tech innovation in Edenedair.

With his inventions in hand, Dr. Stormweaver embarked upon a humble and brief ceremony to patent his creations, the newspapers carrying minimal columns heralding the birth of a new era in Edenedair's scientific community. Little did he know, his actions would set off a chain of events that would send shockwaves through the academic world.

As word of Dr. Stormweaver's inventions spread, the academic communities of Edenedair were swept up in a wave of scientific euphoria. Laboratories buzzed with activity as researchers and scholars clamored to replicate and build upon his groundbreaking work. Collaborations were forged, rivalries ignited, and innovations flourished as the pursuit of knowledge reached new heights.

Society for Advancement in Science (SAS)

Amidst the hallowed halls of academia in Edenedair, where the air crackled with the energy of discovery and the echoes of scholarly debate, a momentous event was about to unfold. Under the watchful gaze of esteemed professors and luminaries of the scientific community, a gathering of leading minds convened to discuss the formation of a groundbreaking organization: the Society for Advancement in Science (SAS).

As the delegates from Edenedair took their place at the head of the assembly, anticipation hung heavy in the air. With a sense of gravity befitting the occasion, they unveiled their vision for the SAS—a global institution dedicated to the unfiltered pursuit of scientific knowledge and progress. With meticulous attention to detail, they outlined the principles and objectives of the society, emphasizing the importance of collaboration, transparency, and unfettered access to resources and funding.

As the delegates spoke, their words resonated with conviction and passion, stirring something deep within the hearts of those in attendance. For here, in this hallowed chamber, was the promise of a new dawn for science—a world where borders and boundaries were no match for the boundless curiosity of the human mind.

But the founding of the SAS was not just a matter of academic discourse; it was a legal and regal affair as well. Representatives from the highest echelons of government and royalty were present, their support crucial in ensuring the success and legitimacy of the endeavor. With their blessings and endorsements, the SAS gained the official sanction of the realm, elevating it to a position of prominence and authority on the global stage.

And so, with the Academic Associative Accords laid bare for all to see, nations far and wide were invited to join the SAS and pledge their commitment to the advancement of science. Royal Institutions For Academic Research (RIFAR)

In the dimly lit chambers of the palace, where shadows danced across ancient tapestries and whispers hung heavy in the air, the Regent of Edenedair sat upon his throne, his mind consumed with visions of power and ambition. As he pondered the future of the realm, a spark of inspiration ignited within him—a vision of scientific supremacy, wielded for the glory of Edenedair alone.

With a wave of his hand, the Regent summoned his most trusted advisors and confidants, commanding them to assemble the finest minds in the realm for a clandestine purpose. Thus was born the Royal Institutions for Academic Research (RIFAR), a national body dedicated to scientific inquiry and discovery, but subservient to the whims of the realm and shrouded in secrecy.

Under the Regent's watchful eye, the RIFAR would harness the brilliance of Edenedair's scientists and researchers, channeling their efforts towards the advancement of knowledge and technology for the exclusive benefit of the realm. Behind closed doors and veiled in secrecy, experiments would be conducted, discoveries made, and innovations born, all in service to the Regent's grand vision of scientific supremacy.

But unlike its global counterpart, the SAS, the RIFAR would operate under the strict control of the realm, its activities hidden from prying eyes and shielded from external scrutiny. With resources and funding flowing freely from the coffers of the crown, the RIFAR would become a bastion of scientific innovation, its discoveries held closely as state secrets, to be wielded for the greater glory and power of Edenedair alone.

As the orders were issued and the plans set in motion, the Regent watched with satisfaction, knowing that he had taken a bold step towards securing the future of the realm. For in the hallowed halls of the RIFAR, the seeds of scientific greatness were sown, destined to blossom into a legacy of unparalleled achievement and dominance for Edenedair.

The Cult is your friend!

There's a chill in the air, the sound of wind shaking the trees carries through my surroundings me. I'm so tired, I've been walking around endlessly around this stupid forest for days... Weeks? I can't even remember anyone. I was trying to visit my family here in the County one day, and the day after arriving I woke up in the middle of this rainforest. I feel like I'm going insane, like someone... Something is watching me. Stalking me. Hunting me.

I emerge from the cave I've been sheltering inside of and grab the makeshift spear I've made. Time for breakfast. I climb a nearby tree and wait for something to walk below me. Eventually, after about an hour of waiting a Masked Deer stumbles across near the tree. I jump down with my spear in hand, sinking it into the animal from above. While I drag the deer back to the cave, I notice something. A pair of footprints coming from a direction I have yet to travel and scout out. They look like human footprints, yet it doesn't feel quite right. Maybe it's some kind of ape or something. Sure, there haven't been any reports before about apes living here but the forest is host to many wonders maybe they've just been undetected. Or maybe, this is my chance to be saved. Maybe it is a person and they can help me find my way out of this place. I gather some courage and decide to yell out "Hello! Is anyone out there?" as loud as I can. There's a pause for a moment, it feels as if the entire forest has gone silent at once until something breaks the silence.

It sounds to be far off, a faint noise but I feel shocked to hear my own words sent back at me. Something out there is not only copying my words but my exact voice. It could be a bird, I have heard the birds here are known to copy sounds from humans. But it also happens to be from the same direction as these footprints... I decide to drop the deer and just run to my cave, just in case something bad really is out there.

That's when I hear it again, but closer now. And this time, it sounds like there's at least one or two others copying the call. I try to reassure myself, it's just birds, it's just birds, it's just birds...

They're getting closer and louder. I have to know what it is. It calls to me. I decide to look outside the cave and try to spot whatever is making the perfect copies of my voice, and that's when...

It sees me. It sees me. It sees me. It sees me. It sees me. It sees me. It sees me. It sees me. It sees me.

Songs of the Edenedair

[spoiler=Song of Edenedair]I am a Edenedair, know ye my colours?

The flag floats white star and black sky before me;

for freedom's sake my fathers died,

to that, to know it, point my colours.

Never will I trembling quail;

as they did, will I dare.

Be it a rainy day, be it cheerful sunshine,

I am a Edenedair, want nothing but to be a Edenedair.

With affection and loyalty I approach the throne,

from which gently a father talks to me;

and as the father is faithful to his son,

so will I be faithful to him and falter not.

The bonds of affection are firm.

Hail my fatherland!

The Eruson's call penetrates my heart so deep:

I am a Edenedair, want nothing but to be a Edenedair.

Not every day may gleam with sunshine;

from time to time a cloud and shower nears.

But may never anybody read in my face

that all my wishes are not satisfied.

Although near and far

very many would like to change places with me,

their happiness is deceit and their freedom is illusion:

I am a Edenedair, want nothing but to be a Edenedair.

At times the evil storm roars around me,

the night burns in lightning's blaze;

even so, it has stormed worse in the world already,

and what didn't tremble was the Edenedair courage.

May rock and oak tree shatter,

I will not tremble.

May it storm, may it thunder, may lightning strike wildly:

I am a Edenedair, want nothing but to be a Edenedair.

Where love and faithfulness devote themselves to the Eruson in such way,

where Eruson and people give each other their hand,

there has to prosper the people's true happiness,

there blooms and prospers the beautiful fatherland.

And thus we swear anew:

Love and loyalty to the Eruson!

Firm be that bond! Yes, bravely keep the bond:

For we are Edenedairs, let's be Edenedairs.

And we, who on the Western and South Sea shores,

were standing as guard, hardened by wave and wind,

we, who are since Elessar by a bond of blood

chained to Edenedair's throne and people,

we will not backwards look,

no, forward with confidence!

We call forth to all the world about us

really we're Edenedairs, will be Edenedairs!

The Edenedair's star can shine over a large distance brightly,

the Edenedair's dragon can fly ahead of the clouds,

the Edenedair standard is fresher than a sassafras wreath,

the Edenedair sword to victories crushes a path.

And high on Edenedair's throne

in the lustre of Adam's crown

rule us our Eruson, strong and mild,

and every Edenedair chest be to him a shield![/spoiler]

[spoiler=Wake up, Edenedair!]

Wake up, Edenedair, from your sleep of death

Into which you have been sunk by the barbaric tyrants,

The barbaric tyrants,

Now, or never, make a new fate for yourself,

To which even your cruel enemies will bow,

Cruel enemies will bow.

Behold, great shadows, Beör, Haladin, Marach,

The Edenedair Nation, your great-grandchildren,

Your great-grandchildren,

With weapons in their arms, with your fire in their veins,

The Edenedair Nation, your great-grandchildren,

Your great-grandchildren,

With weapons in their arms, with your fire in their veins,

"Life in victory or death!" shout all. "Or death!" shout all,

"Or death!" shout all.

Now or never let us give proof to the world

That in these veins an Eden blood still flows,

An Eden blood still flows,

That in our chests we hold a name with pride,

Victorious in battle, the name of Elessar!

The name of Elessar!

To my fellow rulers of different nations,

Hello, I am writing these invitations to invite you all to the Festival of Pyrlantis, this is the first time foreigners will be allowed to attend, so we would be greatly honored if you all could find time within your busy schedules to come.

I'm sure you're wondering, what is the Festival or Pyrlantis? Well, I shall answer that question now.

The Festival of Pyrlantis celebrates the day Pyrlantis, the oldest and most powerful dragon of Mystica came to this land and united and brought peace the warring peoples of Mystica, (As the people here are quite diverse, with many races, myself being an Elf), by lighting the Flames of Harmony. And so every year we celebrate her, and the night ends with Pyrlantis relighting the Flames of Harmony to keep them from burning out and my people going to war again.

Again, the people of Mystica would be honored to have any of you attend the Festival on the 12th of April, I only ask that any who attend be on their best behavior, as many of my people are still wary about having foreigners come for the Festival.

Best wishes,

Seraphina

High Queen of Mystica

P.S. If you wish to know what shall be at the Festival please respond via letter, and if you will be able to come, again, please tell me via a letter

The RiftBlood Invasion - Karnithia in the start of the Century

During the Early 90s of the 17th century and the dawn of a new Century, Karnithia was embroiled in a war which has repeated itself many times in its history. Not one waged by warring kingdoms, Duchies and Nobility, or one usually waged its population against another Human or Mortal Factions but a War Against the Undead.

For Centuries Karnithia, even before it’s unification was hit time and time again by legions of Undead of varying Quality - from the Legions of the Lich of Kor’s Von which were shambling hordes of long decayed corpses that used their numbers to overwhelm their foes, to the Ambitious lich of Varrius morn who led his legions of EverSworn Revenants. Pillaging and slaughtering the Lands of Karnithia, bringing it on the verge of collapse back in the 15th century which was during the Demonic wars - his legion was a thing of legend, Proper undead who have not decayed or lost their skill honed during the life of service before they fell in battle. Their Martial prowess being elevated to new levels as their minds were refined into a weapon, they were the Executioner blade and the main line infantry of his Legion only finding match in the form of the Royal Guard as they took advantage of the Demonic War.

But it was during the battle of Ivory fields that would see this legion condemned, being decimated by a series of repeating battles at the Hand of Artious - the ruling king at the time. Never giving them the chance of respite, but now? The legion of such quality had returned in the form of the RiftBlood legion.

The Successor to the legion which had nearly brought Karnithia to kneel on the Executioners block, The Entire northern border was Encompassed by Smoke from firing lines as the Royal Army stood off against the Resurgent Legion that emerged from unexplored lands or once devastated lands, for a decade the War waged as Steel tore through flesh and bone. Cavalry charges smashing into opposing Infantry formations as the legion was Akin to that of a Modern day army.

But in the background of the War Karnithia was surprising Growing, the War did not hamper its Economic growth that was from the Mid 17th century as the process of guided industrialization had propelled it. The introduction of a System akin to that of a national Telegram was already prominent in the Form of Shard Quils, providing written information in real time no matter the location - for where a letter could take weeks to maybe months to make its way across the country a paper written with Shard quill was faster and simplified it to a matter of days. But it still has its own unique flaws.

Now at the Start of the Century, Karnithia is finishing off its old time Foe with the recent Victory near the city of Rolis. For this Century shall see a time of prosperity once this undead foe is Slain.

A new nation emerges in the east

in the far east of Astralis, hidden by vast mountains and forests, once only known as no-mans land, Azhania has been founded.

Founded recently by the visionary Sultan A'zhi Nili, Azhania emerged under the divine calling from their revered god, Azha Doya. This divine intervention led to the creation of a haven for the Azhani people, a community deeply rooted in tradition and culture.

Azhania, a kingdom reminiscent of Tibet and the Persian Empire, stands as a testament to the harmonious blend of two rich civilizations. The architectural wonders of Azhania reflect the intricate designs of Persian palaces, adorned with vibrant colors and ornate patterns, while the spiritual practices draw inspiration from the serene monasteries of Tibet.

The Azhani people, once nomadic bards traversing the lands, have found a permanent home in Azhania. Renowned for their musical prowess, the Azhani bards captivated audiences with melodies from lutes and viols, weaving tales of love, courage, and adventure through their enchanting music.

Under Sultan A'zhi Nili's wise leadership, Azhania flourishes as a cultural oasis, where art, music, and spirituality coalesce in perfect harmony. The streets of Azhania resonate with the melodious tunes of the bards, transporting residents and visitors alike to a realm of wonder and enchantment.

As dusk falls over the majestic kingdom of Azhania, the echoes of ancient melodies fill the air, a reminder of a rich heritage that continues to thrive under the benevolent gaze of Azha Doya. In Azhania, the past and present converge, creating a tapestry of traditions that stand the test of time.

it is the music in the distance, inviting the regions leaders to the divine capital city of Makarat, the sultan wishes to extend his greetings

Our Alliance, Comradely Alliance

Further East than Azhania, lies the nation furthest West — that of the Alliance of Xetinesia. The Alliance, according to national histories, has existed since the Dawn of Civilization, and the Inception of Serpent-kind.

Yet, one must recognize its Current State as a recent development. The Serpent-kind, by Nature, have been secretive — even in the Worship of their Gods, and their God of Gods, Xeti — and it is only upon their Expansion onto the Mainland that their Existence must be officially recognized. First would be by the Humans, having been spread by the Four Winds to this distant shore before the Xetinesians. These Continentals have not merely recognized the Alliance's Sovereignty, but many have elected to join in the glorious spirit of camaraderie.

May the Frontier quake in Terror. The Sun shall Rise in the West, over the dark Depths of the Ocean, over the Xetinesian Archipelago of Twelve Islands. May the Frontier tremble, and its Peoples assemble before our Most Serene ALLIANCE OF XETINESIA. Those we may Prevail Over, possess grounds to Quail in Fear.

Once and Forever.

For Xeti, the Serpent.

For the Stars and the Seas.

For All Souls, All Time, and All Else.

A Royal Visitation with the High Archangel Ambis

In his celestial chambers, the High Archangel sits on a throne of pure gold. It's a mighty piece, with large wings on the back, giving the appearance of them protruding from the High Archangel's back. The throne is studded with pearl, white accents running along the center of the wings, and the armrests of the throne. It is made to intimidate. As is everything the High Archangel does. He is the ruler of The Ambis, a Harbinger from The Enlightened One himself. He arrived many years ago. No one knew quite when. He was ancient though, that was for sure.

He was dressed in splendor worthy of the God he worshipped. Long, billowing robes woven with color, over an ornate white tunic with black trim. His hair was long and golden, and his face showed no mercy. This man, this Archangel, whatever he was, he was power incarnate. He was worshipped as a God. People believed that he alone could save them from Damnation. They were convinced of it. If they doubted him? It didn't go well...

"Your exaltedness," a voice said. A member of the guard. Ambis didn't know this one. Either he was new, or he just didn't care enough. Likely the latter. "There is a man who wishes to hold an audience with you."

Ambis raised an eyebrow. He was used to visitations later in the day. When the masses came to grovel at his feet, ask for forgiveness from their wickedness. Sometimes he chose some to Exalt. To assure a better life, before sending them on, peacefully.

Some he did not. And if you were deemed to be Damned, there was no hope for you. You would be slain, and it would not be pretty. That was for sure.

Some he did not even bother with. They came to grovel, and were not acknowledged.

"And what," the Archangel drew in a low, melodic voice, just as terrifying as it was soothing, "does he wish to speak to me about?"

"He did not say. All he said is he wished for a private audience."

Ambis laughed.

"Alright," he said with a smile, "I shall deign to converse with him. You may send him in."

The guard nodded and left, presumably to escort the petitioner in. Ambis waited a second, and the large doors opened to reveal a man with closely cropped black hair, dark skin, shimmering golden eyes and a black robe covering him.

Ambis looked down at him. He never spoke first. Not once.

"I know who you are," the man said.

"I would hope you do," the Archangel responded with a sharp gaze.

"I know what you are."

Ambis stood.

"Watch your words. I am a Harbinger of the Enlightened One."

The man gave a low laugh.

"We both know that's not true."

"Who are you?" Ambis said sharply, stepping towards the man.

"I am a member of the True Enlightened Ones. We know the truth. We have resisted your light and seen through your lies."

"Heresy," Ambis spat.

"You would not claim so if we were wrong."

"I HAVE LIVED FOR THOUSANDS OF YEARS!" Ambis bellowed. "I DICTATE THE WILL OF THE ENLIGHTENED ONE! YOU ARE A LIAR!"

"You serve a false God. A God you made up. You cannot lie any longer."

"YOU ARE A FALSE PROPHET! I HEREBY CHARGE YOU WITH HERESY AND CONSIRACY AGAINST THE ENLIGHTENED ORDER!"

"I will be but a martyr."

"I WILL DESTROY THESE ENLIGHTENED ONES!"

"Not if you can't find them," he said, smiling softly in the face of the raging Archangel.

"YOUR SENTENCE, AND THEIR'S, SHALL BE DEATH BY EXECUTION. TO BE CARRIED OUT NOW!" Ambis yelled, drawing his sword and swiping it in a cool cut in front of him, the man falling to the ground, dead.

And as Ambis turned back to his throne, he looked slightly younger.

The sultans first address to his people

A'zhi steps up to the podium in the capital building of Makarat. his robe trailing behind him, his Divine Rule shall make an address to his citizens.

he places his gaze on the seemingly infinite sea of people, all of them chanting in Azha:

Praise be to the Sultan!

he takes a deep breath, clears his throat, and speaks in a booming voice.

"My beloved citizens, it has come to my attention that our Divine Cavalry is not large in number. we lost many good men curing the founding of this nation or ours, and I acknowledge that our forces are running low. we must strengthen our numbers, we must be able to withstand an invasion lest we lose our culture! we must preserve our centuries of history, and if we lose it to some depraved barbarians, then I will have failed my people. we must build a great wall to protect our borders! We must station galleys at any point we deem necessary! if we can gain more noble warriors to join our cause, we can expand our borders, we can become stronger! so I implore you, join our cause and fight for Azhania!"

the sultan makes a gesture that resembles a helldiver salute (ik the analogy doesn't fit the time period but its the best example I have), he turns and walks back to his palace, the cheers of his citizens roaring in the distance. he sits up on his throne as a disheveled slave crawls towards him.

The Abolish Slavery of the St.Peter Treaty

A vote was held to abolish slavery, since the inhuman act to slavery has shown deep economic debate and poor reinforcement to slavery treatment. As the nation of the Great Russian Empire has voted 67% to abolish slavery forever and to be replaced by the Free Labor Rights Party(F.L.R.P). All Slavery Elves will be sent back to their home freely as a return of unblock trade routers. The Act of Abolish Slavery St.Peter Treaty has been officially made by Alexander II.

-Sign by Alexander Peter II.

Free Labor Rights Party (F.L.R.P)

Since the Abolish Slavery of the St.Peter Treaty has made a big change to the Russian Labor Force. A new Labor Force was made, the Free Labor Rights Party or F.L.R.P has made to replace the Slavery Labor Force by replace slave into the labor force with full rights for the labor workers as a new law of Russian. By giving better treatment and even rights to the worker. And fair equal pay to each worker and even plus free healthcare and education school funds.

The Sultan and the slave (Pt. 2 of my previous post)

A'zhi sits up on his throne as the slave crawls towards him. the slave, wearing only a potato sack on his body, has come with a plea.

"great sultan of Azhania, I come asking for your forgiveness..."

the sultan looks upon the slave with disdain.

"and why should I? you have the audacity to come into MY palace, crawling and bringing sand onto the floor, wearing naught but a potato sack upon your body! what is it that you have to give me in return for freedom from your slavery?"

the slave simply looks downcast, for he has nothing to give the sultan.

"I'm so sorry A'zhi, I have nothing to give..."

the slave seems to know what will come.

the Sultan motions for an executioner to enter the room

"once again I may ask, how do you have the gaul to come in here, and to tarnish the kingdom with your very presence on this earth? it seems to me that maybe His Divinity does not look favorably upon you."

the sultan motions for the executioner to mercifully end the life of this pitiful waste of air and food.

the executioner simply raises his axe, but it does not fall. the slave holds his hand out, a glowing light emanates from the slaves hand. the axe leaves the exuctioners hands and slices his own head off.

the slave lets the body fall to the ground.

the sultan, now terrified by this development, decides to strike a bargain with the slave:

if he teaches the magic to the nations high priests, then he may receive his freedom. until he can fulfill his end of the deal, he will be given food, water, and a place to sleep.

the slave rises to his feet, he is escorted to a small room on the outside of the palace, near the courtyard where the priests gather in the morning before prayer.

for now, the sultan has made a deal that may change the nation forever, for there has never been an Azhani that could use magic, until now

Dol Akron Revolts

The city of Dol Akron has risen in revolt today! A populist uprising has declared the city independent and has cut it off from the rest of Hálendi. Already railroads connecting the city are being torn up to prevent troop movements into the city. Similarly, barricades are being erected throughout the city as the people prepare for the inevitable government response. The provisional government of Dol Akron has sent King Midens a lengthy request for independence detailing all the benefits to Hálendi, but none within the city truly believe this will work. A militia is being prepared to defend the burgeoning new city-state, and the city has sent calls to the other major lamner cities asking for aid. While a number of small villages have also declared independence in response, none of the major cities responded.

Outraged at the audacity, King Midens has demanded that the prime minister solve this matter "by any means necessary." Already an airship task force is being assembled while 3,000 soldiers have been called upon to begin the journey to Dol Akron. Many within the nation expect Dol Akron to fall within weeks, but that hasn't stopped this from starting an outpouring of cries for independence all around the nation. The king hopes to put this revolt down with enough force that any other cities are frightened into submission.

Elves Rebellion:

For centuries, the Ocacedeman high elves had dwelled throughout what was now part of Navea. Their population had been concentrated in the northern territories of the Imperial kingdom, where as much as 65% of them lived in the are within the Ocacedema desert. Yet, ever since the formation of the imperial kingdom, these elves are broadly regarded as a lower race to Navea's human population. As a result, the majority of the elves' population is enslaved to be worked as cheap labors and house servants. Yet, many of them have no voting rights, or basic citizenship rights, and their population is often brutally oppressed by the Navean state. The tension reached a boiling point when 500 of the elve miners rebelled against their human employer.

In a bit of panic, the owner called in the police and army to suppress the uprising. However, although the rebellion had been successfully suppressed, the response sparked a series of elves' rebellions across the nation. Many elf slaves had stormed into the villas of their masters and brutally slaughtered their entire families. Similarly, elves employed as cheap factory labourers burned down their factory, as well as engaging in street fights against local police units. Many of these elves demanded equal status as their human counterparts, as well as abolishing all forms of slavery in the nation. As of recent, the emperor had declared a national emergency, which permitted a nation wide curfew. However, some rumours had suggested a secret negotiation between the elves' representative and the imperial officials.

Hayakanai, part 2

[sup][sub]Oh yes, I should probably add, this happens in the 1640s[/sub][/sup]

The abandonment of Hayakanai dealt a devastating blow not only to the kingdom of Aramer but also to the prestige of King Uvryd. Once the jewel of the realm, Hayakanai's fall reverberated throughout the land, leaving in its wake a trail of shattered lives and fractured dreams. As the largest city in the nation, its demise forced thousands of Aramerians to confront an uncertain future, their accustomed way of life abruptly upended by the cataclysmic events of the preceding day.

With grim resolve, many displaced denizens turned their gaze towards Siviru, the seat of power and beacon of hope in these dark times. Here, they sought solace and sanctuary, clinging to the faint promise of aid from the monarch they once revered. Yet, amid the throngs of refugees converging upon the capital, a palpable sense of disillusionment hung heavy in the air, a bitter reminder of promises unfulfilled and trust betrayed.

For others, however, the allure of Siviru held little sway. Disillusioned and disheartened, they chose a different path, scattering across the countryside in search of a new beginning, untethered from the yoke of monarchy. Though forsaking the king's benevolence meant facing an uncertain future, they embraced the freedom to chart their own course, determined to carve out a life of their own making, far from the shadows of a fallen city.

While we somewhat question the Dionysian strategy of a provocation like this, especially with so many nations around the world. Ultimately this matters little to Unike as slavery has been abolished for centuries, and we do not trade in this area of the world anyways. We encourage the nations of the world to de-escalate and not start any conflicts over this. As Dionysia considers the straight as their waters, we encourage other nations to find alternative routes for trading less they risk a war with the Dionysians.

Dol Akron Burns

At approximately 00:45 today the city of Dol Akron came under siege today by Hálendine forces. The army group was sighted on the approach well within enough time for the civilian militia to ready their defenses. The government army struck the first blow with barrage of fire spells before switching to common gunfire. The lamner defenders were limited to the more defensive earth magic, which did succeed in limiting the effectiveness of the fire blast.

The defenders were holding out well for about an hour, successfully holding off the larger force. This did however require virtually every defender in the city. While this initially worked well, it left the city defenseless against the airships descending on the city center. The airships launched salvos of attacks from behind the front lines before dropping elite soldiers into the city. Chaos quickly engulfed the defenders, allowing the attackers to push forward. The defender’s lines shattered and fighting devolved as the attackers rushed forward into the city. The city becomes alight with flame as the attacking army lights fire to many important buildings. Within a few hours the government of Dol Akron issued an official surrender following the capture of most government officials. Executions are scheduled for the following day in the still burning city as the government sends supplies to Dol Akron to begin reconstruction of the city.

Saint Yev Massacre

In Samoer, non-halfling races are not appreciated and in some areas, may not have the rights of halflings. One of these regions, Saint Yev is known for being one of the more discriminatory areas. Since the king does not directly own over any territory, instead there being governors who govern over a piece of land, in certain places in Samoer, slavery is legal.

In Saint Yev, they allow non-halfling slavery, giving any halfling the availability to enslave any human, elf, etc.. that they see as fit.

At 9:24 AM, in Saint Yev’s main square, a large group of non-halflings and halflings that didn’t support the laws of Saint Yev marched on the capital of Saint Yev and demanded that the governor change the laws to better treat the different races living in Samoer. A group of policemen met the protesters, first demanding that the protesters leave the square. When the protesters denied, the police threatened to have all the protesters arrested. The protesters at this point were throwing things at the police.

At 10:19 AM, the policemen threatened to fire live ammunition into the crowd if they didn’t dissemble, the policemen were met up with more policemen. When the protesters continued to refuse to budge, some of the police fired warning shots into the air, signifying that they were serious with the threats. When some of the policemen tried to arrest the protesters, it started getting violent. An angry protester by the name of Lyen Daq saw a policeman attempt to arrest one of the protesters, he stabbed the policeman. The policeman, Rehn Omn was the first casualty of the conflict.

With the death of Rehn Omn, the policemen fired into the crowd, killing 14 people, one of which being Lyen. Another 7 were injured and three of those had to be hospitalized. The protest then turned into a large hand-to-hand fight, which caused the death of a police officer and injuring another two protesters. The court date for police officers said to be involved in the initial shooting is scheduled for next month.

New Elves Act:

Despite a series of successful suppression conducted by both Navea and partial outside force, the Evles rebellion continued to prevail. Many of them organized into local guerrilla fighters constantly harassing Navean troops passing by. Factory strikes continued as most elves' labour fled into uninhabited forests or jungles, which contained an abundance of guerrilla elves resistance. The continuation of the elves resistance had enabled an immense economic downfall, which puts significant pressures on the nation's industrial sector.

At last, the emperor was forced to recognize the new sovereignty of the Ocacedeman Elves. With an imperial cabinet meeting between the emperor and the imperial ministers, the New Elves Act was passed and officially enforced into the law. With the new act, all legal and property rights of the elves will be recognized and protected by the state. Then, the elves will share equal status with their human counterparts. Additionally, the act will officially abolish all forms of forced labor including slavery upon the nation's elves population. However, racial discrimination against the elves among the civilian population continued, which can only be healed with generations to come.

The Navean government had also condemned the actions of the Dionysian State. The practice of slavery is self-determined by the sovereign state, which should not be pressured by foreign powers especially when it comes to violent form of response.

Slaughters in the Streets of Wichens

The city of Wichens, located in the northwest of Hálendi, is a well known trading city. Hundreds of merchants travel throughout the city every day, and it’s generally considered perfect respite from the sea. Renowned for the calm and quiet atmosphere of the city, it’s also long been a popular vacation spot for the elite. However, a recent string of gruesome murders has the city in the grips of fear. At current count, four victims have been identified and announced to the public. The victims have nothing in common except for the gruesome method of their deaths. Tainted by the telltale signs of dark magic (which is illegal in Hálendi), all four of them were clearly killed by powerful dark magic spells. Additionally, they all had their throats ripped out after death. Worryingly, the bite marks indicate unnaturally sharp and jagged teeth. While initially indicating an antok was behind the crimes, it was soon apparent that even the sharp teeth of antoks couldn’t create these unnatural marks. This fact has been hidden from the public so as not to cause even more of a panic. The authorities are at their wits end trying to draw up a list of suspects. The city is suffering greatly as trade has ground to a halt, causing the economy to begin rapidly declining.

One week later

The Wichens killer has struck again! Horrifyingly, the newest victim is none other than the Wichens’s chief of police! The chief’s body was found in their office, strung up in a grotesque display. Their chest had been ripped open by a precise claw strike, and the walls were covered in messages written in the chief’s blood. Many of the messages are written in an as-of-yet undeciphered code, but a few are written in some of the many writing systems used throughout Hálendi. The understandable messages are as follows:

“This one was a necessary statement”

“I must feed, do not stop me if you don’t want to be my next meal”

“Do you see as I do?”

“The scarlet eye blinks open”

“Enjoy the puzzles, they’ll lead you to the truth”

The police released a statement saying they are not intimidated and will continue investigating. However, rumors are circulating that many officers have resigned from the force. The city has unofficially shut down and the murders seem to be growing only more frequent and bold.

The Tale of Ekinu

Before the modern nation of the Elves in the Republic of Unike rose there was another nation; the Kingdom of Ekinu, which was the original bastion of the Elven people on the continent of Seylath. Prior to Ekinu the Elven people had no kingdom to call their own having came out of the collapse of 2 different human kingdoms in a relatively short time. One of which declined slowly over a long period while the other the leader voluntarily destroyed in order to create Ekinu, which was widely considered a smart decision at the time.

Upon it's founding Ekinu quickly grew in both economy and population becoming a regional power in a very short time frame. However as things began to stagnate Ekinu started to lose steam, gradually with a shrinking population and economy. Luckily the collapse of another nearby kingdom brought in additional people, some of whom's bright new ideas radically transformed Ekinu. The nation grew to heights literally never before seen, eventually quadrupling it's original population and even higher with its economy. Life was great. Enthusiasm among the populace was high, people were proud to be from Ekinu. Yet, things are not always as they seemed under the surface. Perhaps it was complacency achieved by success but Ekinu gradually came to stagnate, and before long ultimately begin losing people again. Perhaps life on Seylath was too tough after all. It didn't help that a recent war with Aramer had led to the destruction of Fire magic in the kingdom after all.

Over the next couple decades Ekinu faced government crisis after government crisis before eventually collapsing altogether. Complecancy and a multitude of other factors led to its tragic demise, as noted by multiple Unikean scholars. The moral of the story is had Ekinu worked to right some of its problems sooner, the collapse could've been outright prevented if not at the very least delayed. Although admittedly this is debated among Unikean scholars. It didn't help that while all this was going on the nation gradually became more isolated from the outside world losing trading partners, leading many Ekinu to not have adequate supplies for making it through the winter. Ekinu was demonized for these conditions by multiple other nations of the world which did not help the situation at all either.

Ultimately a few decades of chaos followed before the Republic of Unike emerged, a nation with very different values and setup than Ekinu but a similar aim: provide a nation for the Elven people. Which it has done for centuries since. Life in Unike is may not be chaotic or as vibrant as some areas of the world, but it's stable and offers a refuge for all Elves. And we the Unikean people will do everything in our power to protect our country.

Long Live Unike!

Best Friends Forever

A week ago, an old friend from Nator State invited me over to go hunt some jackalopes. It's been so long since I've had some time to myself, and I do hate those pesky critters, it'll be a good way to relax for once. So today I arrived in Nator State, meeting my friend Sir Kilgore Van King-Sergent Jr. I greet him with a handshake and a hug while saying "It's been too long! How've you been?" Kilgore replies "Indeed it has! Now here-grab a rifle, we don't want to waste any daylight." I take a rifle from his hands and we start to treck into the forest. While good at blending in amongst the forest floor, jackalopes aren't hard to track or find. There's so many of them, you're bound to catch a few every time you enter the woods. But today, there doesn't seem to be many. We spend a few hours walking around, we've found a select few so far but not much. Right before we're about to turn around and head back, I spot a group of them up ahead. I tap Kilgore's arm and he turns around. I point to the jackalopes and we both slowly take out our rifles and get into position, taking two shots in unison. Right as we're about to go grab our award from the ground, a pack of goblin dogs emerge from the forest, likely having been hunting themselves when we meet. We slowly begin to back away when my foot lands on a twig, making a loud crack.

The dogs turn to us and abandon the tiny rabbit creatures to focus on their new, bigger prey. Kilgore tries to shoot at one of them but his gun jams while I stand there, paralyzed from fear as they start running towards us. He grabs my arm and starts to pull me away, dashing further into the forest. They chase us for what feels like an eternity, before eventually, tired and exhausted, we collapse. I turn and look, expecting the pack to being ripping us to shreds but they stop suddenly not far from us. They snarl and bark at us, but now they seem to have a fearful look in their eyes. They let out a howl before the sound of leaves rustling can be heard behind us and the dogs start to panic and run off. I share a worried and questioning face with Kilgore before I say "What the hell was that?" As soon as the words leave my lips, I hear it. My exact words in my exact voice repeated back at me from behind us. I know what this is. No, no, no, this can't be. We crossed the border? No, please, Dionysus, save us... I turn around, I reach for my rifle but realize I dropped it when the dogs started chasing us. "Kilgore, I am sorry." He has a puzzled look on his face before standing up too. "What're-" he can't finish his sentence before it appears before us, repeating the words "Kilgore, I am sorry." I should have known, karma catches up to everyone eventually. I begin to run as fast I can away, Kilgore tries to follow but that thing grabs him. I can hear his screams getting more and more distant as I go, but I notice something is following me. No, two, three maybe. I start to scream, I know there is no way I could ever get out of this alive. No one ever does. But I won't give up, I run for hours before giving in to exhaustion. They grab me and throw me to the ground. From my pocket I reach and grab a hunting knife, slashing it into the leg of one of them. It screams out, the exact pitch of my own. I try to kick them away, but they grab my legs and fling me around before tearing my legs right off me. Screaming in agony, I throw the knife with everything I have. It sinks into the chest of one of the creatures before it collapses to the ground. The other two look at their companions lifeless body and decide to run off. I use my remaining strength to crawl away from this horrible place. Using my arms to pull me forwards, I reach the end of the forest where it reaches the sea. My vision goes blurry and I feel dizzy before losing consciousness.

When I awaken, I'm aboard a ship, with bandages around the stubs of where my calves once were. Someone walks into the cabin and says "You're finally awake, welcome to the HKS Hartfirs. You sure are lucky we found you when we did-what the hell happened to you?"

King Midens the VII has reacted strongly to the supposed spies from the Arabian Empire. He has denounced the empire as a corrupt state bringing instability to the region, and has ordered the army to the border "to defend the nation." Many are bracing for what seems to be the now inevitable war, but there are still many hoping to prevent bloodshed. A dispute broke out in parliament between a prominent war hawk and one of the loudest voices for peace. The two MPs traded barbs before things got suddenly violent and the war hawk MP briefly ignited a fire spell as a threat. Such things are gross violations of the code of conduct for MPs, but the king himself intervened to prevent the MP from being ousted.

The region is on the knife's edge and it seems like anything could spark the powder keg of war between the two nations.

They also paid particular attention to the seemingly global desire by mortals to conquer the sky in one form or another. In days long passed they smiled happily upon the taming of griffons, pegasi, hippogriffs, and the myriad other skyborne creatures that mortal-kind had tamed. In recent years however, they had watched with great interest at the burgeoning development of true mortal air travel. It delighted their heart when Hálendi developed their airships, and now the god turned their attention to Unike. Aeya was delighted at the new development of air travel, and sought out the Great Air Spirit of Unike to give their heartfelt congratulations.

The Confederacy has secured a line for the South and East and the Council has ordered the threat is destroyed once again.

Local Militias in the North have been reformed and soldiers have set up defensive positions in their Cities, Towns, and Villages, as Militia forces from the East and South are sent to the north to rescue the provinces. The Council has urged and sent a bill for the provinces to form 1 national military, however, the will for independence from the other communities in particular smaller ones has outvoted the bill.

The Denouncement and the North

It has been reported that the nation of Palisade has denounced the Confederacy and its goals. They have stated that they think there is another way then war with the creatures of the forests, which the Council would love if they had someone to go to and negotiate. Without this, the creatures only want war, and the Council will respond to these attacks, or kill them off.

Despite the response, many council members seemed to not be worried about the denouncement, with one notable quote coming from a councilman stating "What are they gonna do, invade us? then they'd have to deal with the creatures and soon realize we're right." Despite this one reaction, the collective reply to the denouement is Apathy.

Anyway, enough of the boring political stuff, it has been reported that militias in the North have done a great job in their operations, already liberating 2/3 provinces attacked, and about 32% liberating the last province. Despite this, the creatures seem to have put up a good fight, already killing a decent amount of Militiamen. Despite this setback, the Militias still push forward, hopefully being able to push them back into the West by the end of the month.

The first tank was invented in 1916, even the first armored car was in 1899, about a century off, mate, hell, even rifles didn’t really exist, plus, for there to even be trucks in the early 1800s that are able to carry tanks, is extremely ridiculous, the first truck was in 1896, even just the first car was in 1867 , how do you have WW1-like equipment? At this point in time, we would be using horses, cannons and muskets, also Zeppelins were not invented until 1900 either

Natera was rightfully angry about what was going on down south. The lack of respect for her and what she brought was distasteful, to say the least. She was always so caring and nice to the mortals that she housed like any good queen. She knew that if she could just talk to them, she could persuade them to stop, but her powers can only do so much. Natera, also, did not want to bother any other higher being like herself because they were obviously busy doing the things they do best. She thought about it for a long period of time.

Then it clicked! She had seen the other gods talk to the mortals through dreams and even through a spiritual connection with them. She knew this was her final chance and protecting the world from utter chaos. Natera's plan would be in effect soon...

The Tale of the Forest of Eldora

In the heart of the Unikean forest of Eldora, there lived a small elven child named Liora. Liora was relatively unique compared to any other elf in the forest; she possessed powerful gift for manipulating the elements at a age much younger than most. From a young age, she could conjure gusts of wind to dance through the trees, coax delicate flowers to bloom out of season, and even summon small sparks of fire to light the darkness. Despite her talents, Liora remained humble and kind, always willing to help those in need. One fateful day, as Liora was practicing her magic in a secluded glade, a dark shadow crept over the forest. A malevolent force had descended upon Eldora, seeking to drain the magic from the land and bend it to its will. Liora sensed the danger and rushed to confront the force, determined to protect her home and her people. But the dark force was too powerful, and in a fierce battle, Liora's magic was drained from her, leaving her powerless and vulnerable. Heartbroken and devastated, Liora retreated deep into the forest, feeling lost and alone. She wandered for days before ultimately being consumed by the feeling of emptiness inside her.

This story has had actual physical proof confirming Liora's existence by finding traces of her magic using modern methods. Thus making the entire story all the more unfortunate, as had she waited another week in theorized her powers actually would've returned. Alas this tale is taught in some Unikean villages to highlight a multitude of lessons.

Koronic

Ren Dawn was an elf that was had a connection to Natera already. He was a powerful mage who was very connected to the elements. Dawn was a good choice for this mission. Natera appeared to him in a dream:

"Hello Sir Ren of Dawn. It is I, the Flower Queen, Natera. I am in need of help from you. You see, there is something troubling going on down south of here in the part of the world you call Ravennoor. I think you heard about it already, so I will not bother you with the details, but you should know how hurt I am. I need you to infiltrate Ravennoor and protect nature as a whole. For this, I have given you the power to talk to nature itself. I hope you can prove yourself to be a hero. Farewell Ren of Dawn."

And with that, Ren will make his voyage to the Confederation of Ravennoor to protect nature.
