I invite everyone to select environmentally friendly policy options within their nations, including puppets, so that we can reach our goals for the regional averages by the end of December. For the upcoming votes in the WA, I'll be using the delegate vote however the majority of residents vote.
Just asking, isn't it a bit unfair you have both the founder and WA delegate role? Can't you give it to someone else?

Other people could be elected to be the delegate, yes. That's not really how this community works, though, and the delegate has no executive powers anyway.

Amazing work, everyone! In just five hours, we overcame the Z-day event and cured our entire region! Everyone did an amazing job coming together to work toward the cure (except for Kuviran). I'm so happy!

Z-Day has now ended and all nations are safe and reasonably cured. Remaining zombies cannot be helped with admin commands ;)
I'm so very proud of nations in Refugia coming together to work for a cure. This made it much easier for Ortharion, Sylh Alanor, Chacapoya, and myself to make a cure missile brigade and pop out the rest of the zombies like nobody's business! We cured our region fast enough to initially be listed as the #26 highest survivor region with no infected in the world, before getting knocked out by older regions. The regional password has now been removed.
I'm also very proud of the operations we conducted in New West Indies and Canada to help cure nations in these regions after Refugia was clear. Many many thanks all Refugi for helping out <3

WA Information: The previous proposal at vote, which aimed to repeal Ban on Sterilisation of Minors Etc has been declared illegal by the General Secretariat for an Honest Mistake violation, misrepresenting the nature of the original proposal. Although it passed by votes, it has not gone into law and has been discarded.

WA Information: Reflecting the internal polling of the region, I've cast the delegate vote Against Marxist Germany's convention on animal testing, as well as For Borm's well-researched condemnation of Atlantic.
Revised Statutes information: Refugia has reached it's Eco-Friendliness goal of 5,000, set per RRS. 9! There is only about 150 points left to go on the Environmental Beauty metric, and we have a month and a half to get there ^-^

Hello Omegaforce. It's nice to have you in the region :) Let me see if I can answer your questions in a satisfactory way.
1. We have multiple openly LGBT members, and the tag is intended to show that we are welcoming to all LGBT-identifying people.
2. As stated in our Refugia Revised Statutes (our central governing document, see the top pinned dispatch for more information), we hold elections every few months where any member state (a nation who is a member of the WA and has been in the region for more than ten days) can stand for any officer position. We're always looking for more people who are interested in taking on some responsibilities!
3. We're not a hookup region and this isn't really a site aimed at that sort of thing. It isn't really appropriate to have that sort of message here. Entering a region and immediately revealing your thirst isn't the best look.
I hope this, especially the answer to point 3, doesn't turn you off toward our region (well, in a very specific way I hope it does but not in terms of general platonic interest). You seem very interested and involved and I hope that continues and you can make friends here and we can all move forward and make the world better!

I agree that NationStates isn't a hook-up game, and fishing for members isn't going to happen in this region.
If it makes you feel better that the LGBT tag is on the region and that gays exist, I'm bi and married to a woman - so I guess legally a lesbian. It's not my place to talk about people's private lives behind their back, but this region is part of an off-site community where the last census I conducted this year showed that most people are some variety of LGBT: https://calref.network/post/Census2019.PNG
The next election scheduled is the Councillor of Foreign Affairs, currently held by Athidill. It's scheduled for January 3rd through the 7th, with nominations from the 1st to the 2nd.

Hi Omega. You know you can't be a regional officer if you're constantly moving between different regions, right? Member states are defined as those WA nations who have remained in the region for at least ten days.
Further, if you found a region and everyone leaves, the region and all records of it are deleted every server update, which occur at something like 5am and 5pm GMT.

Hello friends, I've had this up on the forum for a few days now but I don't think it's been seen, so I'm cross-posting it here.
I've written this amendment proposal in hopes that we can hold Regional Councillors more accountable to performing their jobs and ensuring that they remain active within the community. If any member state likes the proposal shared below, I require someone to second it before I can submit it for a full vote. Also if there is any feedback regarding word choice, grammar, or massive political overreach, respond with that information so that I can edit it.
