There are protests in multiple cities in my state, but i don't have any way of participating in person. I have family in law enforcement who've said very hateful things about the protesters, and i'm worried someone close to me might support or commit racist violence if the protests continue long enough. Ultimately, all i can do right now is watch livestreams of people marching and hope they can push police violence out of their cities.

If you are protesting, you can use leaf-blowers, if a smoke bomb or gas can or anything of the sort is thrown at you you can use them to blow it away long enough to throw the projectile back. If you get pepper sprayed, use milk to relieve the pain and use water mixed with baking soda to flush it out.

Cover up as much skin as possible as to not get chemical burns and wear closed toed shoes. Video everything to spread awareness.

I don't think you're supposed to drink the milk for what it's worth :P

But yeah, be safe <3 it's terrible that you've got to have survival guides to protest in the US, especially when the police were so respectful of the far-right protests a few weeks ago.

My body aches and I feel weak from being out in the direct sunlight on my feet for half a day without enough water in Florida. However, the smiles and cheers it brought to my community as I stood on the corner made it even more worth it than it already was.

It's not your fault. Refugia was subject to a type of raid known as a delegate-push, wherein raiders jump in and endorse the second highest endo count nation in order to break the delegate streak. Because the I had returned to the region an removed powers from the delegate position the other day, there was nothing that could be seized in this event, so it was mostly a harmless troll. Some regions install endorsement limits on the nations that are not the delegate to prevent pushes, but I've always found those rules to be a bit obnoxious.

Anyway, no harm no foul. Raiders banned, carry on and enjoy the next eight or nine hours of accidental delegacy :p

A couple of things:

1) I think RRS 8 should say four Council seats, rather than three? I might be misunderstanding, not sure.

2) Has the possible addition of a Recruitment Councillor been discussed? If not, are those responsibilites being invested in a different post?

I just got ANOTHER immigration related issue, where cowboys are riding around picking up illegal immigrants...except my immigration policies should just allow anyone to walk in at any time (so nobody would be illegal), which means they're just racist.

Where's the "have this person shot for being racist" option.

Really wish my decisions on issues actually affected what I encounter instead of assuming I am running America

But also, how do we feel about the current WA issue?

Yeah, it's just one of the things you have to accept if you want to focus on the issue side of NS. Now that I've got my nation in more or less a place I'm comfortable with, I've been dismissing most things that have nothing to do with my country, which is a lot.

I don't have an opinion on it, tbh.

I'm back after a couple of days! I was busy moving into a new place and now I've been drafted into emergency dog sitting for my cousin's big sweetheart puppy named Rikku. She is recovering from a surgery and I need to make sure she doesn't mess with her stitches and bring her out to go potty and other stuff. I'm just really happy right now as I'm writing this message because after a full day of Rikku not cooperating with me because she didn't trust me I finally won her over and it's suddenly smooth sailing! Now I feel comfortable enough to be able to just chill out some while I watch her.

Greetings, and also sorry for having been so busy lately. It's now time for me to catch up on all the stuff and things that have been going on for the past unknowable period of time.

So after a reasonably successful prompt from Sylh Alanor to start working on building this region again, we've passed some updates to the ever-revising Revised Statutes, did a little bit of recruiting, and now we're decently ready to start having regularly scheduled events once again. Regrettably, while Emily is great and amazing in all ways, the placeholder "Neato Burrito Admin Lady" is not technically a position recognised by the statutes (yet), so alas she has been reduced to delegate.

Because the new updates to the RRS are in, I will now invite anyone from the region who is a Member State to offer their candidacy for Councillor of Foreign Affairs, Councillor of Culture, and Councillor of the Interior. For this cycle, I will maintain Councillor of Operations (sorry sleepers, no border control for you today). These terms are to fill until the normal election cycle returns.

Answer: You, if you were just pinged here!

I will presently be collecting Foreign Affairs candidates for the next five days, followed by an RRS 9. election if there is more than one candidate. No member is presently term-limited.
