SCR#375 "Commend Cassadaigua" seek to commend an accomplished NS Sports roleplayer playing this game since 2008. While sports roleplaying is an uncommon niche of roleplay that many haven't heard about before, it has managed to carve out a vibrant community here in NationStates, with elaborate storylines, a impressive attention to minutiae details and a love-hate relationship with RNGesus. It is perhaps due to the unique nature of their content that they attract much more attention than other RP communities in NS, and the SC itself has recognized a fair number of them in the past.

Cassadaigua is the latest addition in this illustrated line and they're as deserving as it gets. They have won all five major single-sports competition, a remarkable feat achieved by no one before and after them. While NSS has seen its fair share of RPers fielding all-women teams in the past, Cassadaigua's women are perhaps the most successful of the bunch, bringing countless glory and honor to the nation they represent, as well as to themselves. They've also extensively worked to organize several major NSS competitions and events, including multiple World Cups (considered to be the most prestigious competition in the community). And they're a talented storyteller as well, capable of crafting engaging and entertaining plots in a consistent manner.

Now on to the resolution itself. It's...okay? I've never been a fan of how Tinhampton writes her SC resolutions - too listy and not enough narrative that highlights the character of the nominee themselves - but it's fine to read through. I definitely don't like the introduction clause and think that it doesn't really do a good job of introducing the nominee and their work to the audience, but the rest of the resolution is all right to read through. There are some awkward moments here and there; a couple of the clauses are just a bunch of sentences jumbled together using commas and it feels way too fluffy at times, but it gets the message across. Normally, I would be tempted to oppose Tin's resolutions due to her...questionable antics in the WA, but the nominee's a deserving one and it shines some spotlight onto one of the most amazing roleplaying communities I've ever had the pleasure of witnessing.

Hey there, President of Allokyus here with some big news about our star frigate mission to Titan! After several weeks of careful exploration of Titan's deep ocean, finally the confirmation of microbial life was made after one of our drills came back with chunks of some sort of microbial colony.

This is a great day in the history of Refugia and mankind itself as the question "are we really alone out there" was finally answered. An extra crew of scientists and biologists is expected to launch next week, along with a new deep sea exploration drone made of Cirnium to investigate further into those mysterious seas. Certainly. First off, my apologies for the lateness of this response. I've just returned from travels to see family, and had a very good time.

To respond to your request in re: Security Council Resolution # 375, I'd say as follows:

This is a resolution aiming to commend the Matriarchy of Cassadaigua for its excellence and truly commendable actions in winning all 5 of the major single-sport competitions (Football World Cup; World Baseball Classic; Gridiron World Bowl; International Basketball Championship; and World Cup of Hockey.) By that alone, being marked as the only nation to have done so, this is a truly impressive and laudable action, and should bring commendation from the World Nations assembly.

However, the resolution goes further than that impressive order. It's crafted to highlight the fact that the nation has gone above and beyond to bolster the causes of women's rights and the equality of gender in the world by taking said championships with all-women's teams. They've won championships, specifically in the WC, WBC, and the Basketball championships, seven times alone, noted here as being led by the nation's Male Equality Now movement, which leads into the resolution specifically naming and commending five individual female athletes who've gone above and beyond through their incredible sportsmanship, as well as their personal championed causes, from differently abled rights, to the equality of the elderly.

Finally, the resolution further highlights the impressive actions and achievements of the journalists, writers, and administration of the nation, listing a litany of successfully run events, campaigns, and writings which have been crafted since the founding of the nation, highlighting the hands-on, and creative measures taken for the community from Cassadaigua.

Looking at the nation itself, it is clear that there have been concessions by the government of the nation to achieve as they have. Unfortunately, though their economy is incredibly strong, notably so, the working class and unemployed members are left to struggle, locked into a lot to starve to death, suffer, and die with a lack of healthcare. The 1,881 trillion of income the economy creates per year is apparently not enough to keep people alive, forcing a 28 to 1 disparity between the top ten percent of individuals, and the poorest. Further, the capitalist nation, ruled by a monarchy, also allows for child labor to exist within its borders.

It would be for these reasons that I would have recommended Refugia to either deny the commendation; or, at the very least, abstain from voting on such, even considering the efforts of the sports teams, and the heavy press towards feminist ends of the nation.

It is, yeah. My script will detect your nation in a little after an hour and you'll automatically have access to the voting site, etc. Endorsing the delegate also gets you added to the Lottery of All Things.

But yes, back right pocket for me-- I keep my key card in my back left pocket, earbuds in my front left pocket, and mask in my front right pocket.

I also do sometimes wear a vest if it's cold outside and then my phone goes in the right vest pocket.
