I always dislike it when these types of lackluster resolutions for important issues like these get passed.

I hope for the passing of this repeal, and a deserving replacement.

I don't know if you've seen the threads discussing this original proposal and the repeals, but they are full of complete vitriol. Every time a bill like this is even proposed, it gives the worst denizens of this site free rein to ramp up the bigotry, and for what? A bill that truly only exists to make a "Concerned Ally" feel proud of themselves, despite the real consequences for queer people on this site. Which is all to say. LGBTQ+ acceptance on this site probably wont be anywhere nearly as affected by the repeal as it was by the proposal itself.

Yeah, both Chacapoya and I are also LGBT, and we've had to deal with the threads. There's no point to replacing this resolution, as it does nothing and was only written to self-gratify the author. There are a lot of positive pro-LGBT resolutions, this isn't one of them. The author was given feedback as to the changes necessary to make the proposal work, and ignored them. So we should get rid of it.

Hello Refugia! It's time for a World Assembly discussion post. This one is on Commend Cretox State.

Commend Cretox State is a proposal to commend Cretox for his TNP, WA, and issues work, including 15 WA resolutions, 6 issues, and a term as TNP Vice Delegate alongside terms as TNP Minister of World Assembly Affairs.

This proposal is interesting because it's meant to be a "bad-faith commend", as Cretox describes his playstyle as "bad-faith". What does this mean? The proposal seems to unwaveringly adore bureaucracy, for whatever reason. Regardless, Cretox is probably commendable, but many have mixed thoughts on his "bad-faith" playstyle.

What are your thoughts?

There's nothing wrong with voting how you feel. Our WAA Councillor has been drafting a replacement since before the repeal went to vote, but it wouldn't have gone up immediately. It's probably more necessary to make sure it's at its best given that the resolution being repealed isn't forcing compliance with civil rights that didn't already exist.

You don't have to apologise for how you vote.

I also wanna ask. What does Pan orientation mean.

It's short for pansexual. It means someone that is attracted to others regardless of gender.

And a few older bi people like myself disagree with this notion, as we've never seen "bi" to be a "one or the other" situation. They both mean the same thing.

Essentially, however, once you become a Member State, you'll be able to vote in and stand for elections for different Council seats depending on what you are interested in doing for the community.

I might recommend, however, settling into the community and learning names and, you know, being in a place where people would even want to vote for you first :P it's your first day in the region, get to know us a bit.
