I don't like Articles 3 and 4. The way it is currently written a WA member could simply withhold whatever scientific data they want under the guise of "national security" thus rendering the entire resolution null.

I just got the pony peril easter egg issue, but all of the options are awful.

Dear Refugi,

I would like to create a common currency among all nations with in Refugia. I am aware of the Planet Network, however it seems as if the requirements for joining are above the level of many nations. I vow to create the ‘Refugian Coin’, a currency that is used in all Refugian member states.

For the treaties the criteria are set to reflect the signatories' values as nations. In this case, I believe it's quite difficult to achieve those specific criteria without being a socialist nation, although some of us have achieved it and just don't use planets (Tiralta will always use stars as it is derived from our nation's ancient name: Tír Réalta or star land in English).

Other reasons for criteria are that it gives something to work to in game, for example one day I'd love to see if I am allowed to negotiate signing the Araito Treaty but I just need to wait for a few policy issues to come up so I meet the criteria - it's good motivation for now to come back and answer issues daily to hopefully get what I need.

If a universal treaty with no criteria is something your nation values that's absolutely fine, but much like real life treaties they are usually just a fun way to show common beliefs and teamwork hence needing a little work to achieve. Some however, like the Chacapoyan Airspace one, are entirely free for everyone to agree to!

Dialogue, Nationstates doesn't have RP buttons, basically all roleplay is dialogue, here is an example:

"Aephony agrees to the [Name]ian treaty of [Name]" In a telegram, Regional Message Or even factbook.

Also, If you are wondering about the WA, it's not technically treaties, It's a button in that case.

“It” is a pronoun, not a way of addressing someone. Using it would be akin to saying “hi she” which just doesn’t make sense. I always use “friend” but I’ve also heard “comrade.”

You've said this like four times now. I don't want to be a hardass but it's getting close to spamming now.

Just so you know, when we have a treaty it is usually arranged through telegrams rather than the RMB (Regional Message Board). You then send that all of that info at once in one telegram so they can update the treaty/map list! It makes it easier to keep track of stuff rather than multiple telegrams and pages upon pages in the message board.

On a side note, please can you not spam the message board? It makes it easier to see other conversations that may also be going on for the rest of us.

Just a thing unrelated to Djorner, if a member of Refugia can't log in for a period of time, let's say a month, is he automaticly out of Refugia?

If you don't log in for 28 days, your nation ceases to exist. That's a mechanic of NationStates. If you don't have a nation in Refugia, obviously you can't be a resident or member state within the region. That being said, you can refound your nation as long as you remember the password, and move back into the region. If you come back (as many people have done in the past) with the same or a different nation, we recognise you as the same person and we're happy to have you back in the community, but as far as NS goes, if you're not here you're not here, and can't fulfill your duties as a Councillor (if you are one).

This is also why we have the discord server. A lot of people are active on the server who aren't active in the region, and vice-versa. We've sort of developed two fairly distinct communities with some overlap, but if someone can't be on NS for a while due to school firewalls or other obstacles to access, but is active in the discord or on our forum, nothing has to change. It's generally a very laid-back policy.

When a nation CTE's, one of three things happens. If it had less than 500 million population, it will be reserved for five years, but after that time the name will be released and anyone else can register with that name. If it had more than 500m residents, the name is permanently reserved. In either of these cases (within five years for the first, or forever afterward for the second), the original nation owner can log in again with the same password and answer a prompt (Do you want to revive this nation) with "yes", and the nation revives in one of the sinker regions: Osiris, Lazarus, or Balder.

If the nation was destroyed by moderators, it can never be founded or revived, and will show a 'Disgraced' tag.

I was wondering, will their be a election to replace Djorner as Councilor of Culture? If so, when will it be?

No, as per RRS 9, an election will be held if the recall passes.

Yeah, that used to be the case, but at this point I can only appoint someone if they resign outright or no one runs for the office.

On the bright side, it's been over a year since i needed to fill in for someone!
