Looks like you've somehow installed the autocracy policy which will tank your political freedoms, I know from experience it can be done accidentally! If you focus on free speech and broadening choice in politics for a bit it should recover nicely.

I just wanted to wish all Refugis a nice & peaceful weekend!

Our religious holidays are approaching and I'm so excited with preparations (preparing soft drinks, getting ready for the anual Spring cleanup, etc.).

I'm still unsure where I'll spend Seder Night (I got two people vying for my presence, lol). I shall resolve this conflict tonight (The senior of the two gets to decide if he "lends" me over to the other one, in exchnage for me attending his Seder Table next year, Chuckle).

My roommate is convalescing and has found a hospital to stay in for the next few months or so, until he either recovers enough to come back here or a more permanent solution is found for him, such as an old-age-home.

I hope to manage a holiday visit to my older sister's at the end of the holiday, or in the middle of the holiday week.

Thenuhj wrote:how a region could be invaded what does this part mean

When a region is created, by default, all control over that region rests with the founder. And while regional officers may be appointed to help carry out the functions of a region's administration, the ultimate power is still held by that founder. However, when the founder nation is no longer present, either from them abandoning the region or (almost always) ceasing to exist, the region's World Assembly delegate becomes the ultimate executive power by circumstance.

Since the delegate of a region is whichever nation has the most World Assembly endorsements at the time the database updates it, that means raiders can sweep in at a moment's notice and rig the system to install one of their own. After raiders control the region, natives have little chance of getting it back without outside help, as occupiers will simply ban any resistance that's not carefully organised. Given enough time, invaders may install a secret password to the region, eject the native inhabitants, and destroy the region, its history, and any messages ever posted there.

Since a region must be emptied of all inhabitants to be destroyed, having a password to prevent nations from entering helps a great deal. So a Security Council liberation makes that much harder (among other uses), by preventing one from being imposed by a non-founder.

Hi Miskiev, thank you for writting this. Here are some suggestions.

I would add words like “wage” or “monetary compensation” to 1.a.

1.c.ii is worded confusingly, and I personally think paid leave should be the same salary they usually receive based on their monthly schedule.

2.a.i is the person affect the worker or their family member that the worker needs to provide care to?

2.c.ii on a personal philosophy I donÂ’t believe workers should pay for their own leave.

5. For number five, i think you can cross out non-incarcerated so it us up to individuals nation interpretation, otherwise you’d have to use that language “non-incarcerated” everything. I personally think incarcerated persons should have the exact same paid leave as non incarcerated.

I'm not very knowledgeable about previously passed WA stuff, and will have a look, but does anyone know off the top of their head if there's already one that mandates support payments for disability?

If not, then on this occasion I'll be voting against you Minsk, as 26 weeks' unemployment benefit doesn't do enough in my personal opinion for those who are permanently unable to work in any capacity due to disability, or who are able to work but may find it harder to find a job within 6 months as their opportunities are narrowed due to disability.

The parental leave is excellent though!

Hello all. For those who have voted for the at-vote SC proposal "Liberate EmbassyRegionia", in line with our Delegate, please switch to voting Against.

The natives of the target region have, as control has been restored, stated to want to password their region to prevent future invasion.

The Liberation was intended so that invaders couldn't password the region and destroy it unopposed. However, since natives are in control, all this would do is prevent them from keeping the region safe.

Thanks.

Akiden wrote:I would add words like “wage” or “monetary compensation” to 1.a.

Employment contracts give the worker wages/monetary compensations, so that might be a little redundant.

Akiden wrote:1.c.ii is worded confusingly, and I personally think paid leave should be the same salary they usually receive based on their monthly schedule.

Many nations IRL don't give 100% paid leave. This, in most circumstances, gives 100% of the worker's regular salary, unless their regular salary is above the average (notably not the median). This helps prevent member states from giving hundreds of thousands of dollars to a CEO of a company on leave when they could easily make do with less.

Akiden wrote:2.a.i is the person affect the worker or their family member that the worker needs to provide care to?

2.a.i is in the instance that the worker's family member is affected, because obviously the worker is obligated to care for themselves or their dependent.

Akiden wrote:2.c.ii on a personal philosophy I donÂ’t believe workers should pay for their own leave.

They don't. 2.c.i specifically outlines that employers are the one paying 100% of the worker's income as paid leave compensation.

Akiden wrote:5. For number five, i think you can cross out non-incarcerated so it us up to individuals nation interpretation, otherwise you’d have to use that language “non-incarcerated” everything. I personally think incarcerated persons should have the exact same paid leave as non incarcerated.

I don't know why a serial killer in prison would need to have the government pay them for being unemployed.

Thanks Minsk, I've changed my vote.

For everyone else: I feel like these midstream changes on liberations, while not unique, are uncommon enough that an explanation is still needed. For those who don't know, the delegate is required to make a post explaining their position on a vote when that goes against the majority opinion of the region. I haven't had to do this a lot, since ideologically I find myself in step with the majority of the region almost all the time. This is probably the same, all things considered, but not everyone who voted is going to see this immediately.

To sort of paraphrase what Minsk said, and repeat some of the things Luca said (check that post out for a better explanation on the mechanics of an occupation) on the previous page, a Security Council liberation prevents anyone but the founder of a region from implementing a password, which would keep nations from being able to move into a region. When a region is invaded by raiders, they're trying to get to a point where they can implement a password and keep people from getting into the region while they empty it out of the people who were already there. The raiders are no longer in control, and the people who previously were in control of the region are again, and they want to have a password of their own.

The liberation will still prevent the natives (the people who were invaded) from implementing a password since the founder's account no longer exists. Since we went into the vote trying to help the people who were invaded, switching our vote is the way to continue that goal. And so I have!

I would say "beachy" is a good descriptor of the overall sense I was going for, both with the flag design and the nation itself. Laid back, sun-drenched, and just a little bit magical :)

Adawu wrote:E: How did you get your economy like that? tell me your ways!

If you just mean that the economy is high ("frightening"), well, mostly it comes down to choosing answers that subsidize business, while keeping in mind that I don't want to damage the environment whatsoever. So, I only allow pretty limited economic freedoms, since those issues often put a real hurt to eco stuff and weather and just general "niceness". But there's loads of issues that improve the economy without harming the environment or having to compromise on other values. For instance, choosing issues which benefit the tourism industry, or cultural stuff. But you really have to be OK with inflating the size of the government and taxation, because it's all about government support of stuff. Also, at a certain point, when you've started to get that Economy rating going pretty good, there's a sort of inertia that takes over and it simply keeps on going. I don't know how to explain it, really...NS stats are a bit weird.

You have to be in the region for 1 week and be a part of the world assembly. I belive Sussy Men has only been in the region for 3 days.
