Ever since our last Discord server was destroyed and remade with clay, it has been called "CalRef II" and the nature of this title naturally lends itself to a subtitle accompaniment, such as "CalRef II: Fantastic Adventures". Cartoon Saloon really does just put out the best stuff.

Nearly a perfect movie. At least for me. Did you ever see that "Stardust" film, based on a Neil Gaiman work? It's not as good as "Princess Bride," but I think it strives for the same thing, and is quite fun still.

I haven't heard of either of these, but they both look like they have really cool styles and seem to be right in my wheelhouse. Glad you recommended them.

Commend Llorens is a proposal to commend Llorens, commonly known as Llo, for their extensive regionbuilding in the Leftist Assembly and editorial work for NationStates Today.

I personally have no reason to oppose, and I'm excited seeing this draft because it's been drafted for so long.

However, I know Indusse (the author) is generally the face you associate India with, a region I know Refugia hasn't had a dazzling history with.

What are your thoughts?

In my opinion it was all down hill after they separated Finn and Poe. They had great chemistry and I wish the movie followed their developing bromance.

There were some good ideas but the execution was awful and they really relied on nostalgia and taking the plot from previous films instead of making a new legitimate big bad.

Maybe, but the original trilogy had three different directors and created its ideas as it went along. The issue was more that Abrams seemed to have no idea what he wanted to happen with the pieces he set up.

Agreed here. I would also add that Abrams isn't very confident in creating emotions outside of nostalgia for people, which is why episode 7 relied so hard on setpieces and, well, actually everything from episode 4.

It went downhill after the first 10 minutes, when Finn stopped being the protagonist. I really liked Finn, and I wish he had a better role than just screaming "REY!!!" in the background. They should have had more Poe as well, he barely got any screentime.

Yeah, NS likes to have unexpected consequences to Issue answers, and the Pizza industry is most notorious in this respect.

Just one thing, which may seem as nitpicking:

When you offer your candidacy for the regional position, it is not "your emperor" who will be the councillor, but rather you the person. We tend to get carried away by the game and forget the distinction between "In-character" role-playing and "Out-of-Charachter" serious business (not that serious business can't be fun, it is and it should).

This is true. While the Councillor seats are somewhat IC constructs, they're also administrative positions to help run the region. Culture tends to have a specialty focus in running events and producing publications.
