I appreciate all the things you caught. When the proposal went up for vote, I had only done a quick reading of it for another server. While I'd noticed the issue with 5(a) as it seems to be the most glaring one, I had overlooked several others. When I thought there was only one potentially problematic issue with one specific clause, I was willing to overlook it for the apparent good in the rest of the resolution.

With the information you've provided, along with a more ideological argument I recently read elsewhere, I've changed my vote to against. I think this simply suffers from too many issues, most notably unnecessary wording that explicitly creates problems.

It was related to my genetic disorder. My toe moved on top of another toe where it shouldn't be. The only thing I hurt myself with was cracking my head open and spraining my shoulder.

This has gotten asked a couple of times, and possibly the answer hasn't been seen that much, but my position is basically that I'm not going to be endorsing The North Pacific or linking their tools in the World Factbook Entry for political reasons.

In the first case, I do not want Refugia to become dependent on foreign regions that could yoink our access to it on a whim when/if we grow to depend on it.

In the second case, I do not support The North Pacific. I don't support their quorum raiding random non-r/d regions to make political statements, and I don't support their authoritarian nature that tries to vacuum up lesser powers and use them to their own ends. We don't have an FA connection with TNP and I sincerely doubt we ever will. So not adding r3n's stuff. When I have time I'll make a Dot and gameside function for Refugia's own purposes. Until then you shall have to find the site when it comes up in the RMB or, and more sensibly, bookmark the page if you wish to use it.

I really recommend running! I promise if you are selected as the next Interior, you will not only do great, but you'll have great fellow Councillors who are ready and prepared to support you as needed. I said this earlier, but I think Interior is a great introductory position for those interested in becoming a Councillor but are worried they're not experienced or prepared enough! Please, please consider running!

IRL I'm happy where I live right now; for a fictional place I'd probably choose somewhere in Refugia.

I am officially anouncing my candidancy for the councillor of Interior affairs.

I pledge that if I'm elected, I will make some (hopefully) neat polls and keep peace on the RMB by removing all unwelcome and rude posts. I will also try to contribute to banding the region together by keeping up lively discussions here. Although I have no previous experience of administration in this big a region, I hope that I can succeed in contributing to the Refugi culture and history if I'm elected. 1. A sailboat— I know how to sail, so it’s the most obvious boat choice. Worse case scenario there’s no wind, a bad storm, or the boat is broken beyond simple repair, but it means you have ropes, wood, and tarps— shelter— and if there aren’t any trees and one gets really desperate, firewood. Tarps can also be used to catch rain for drinking water, or let seawater evaporate for salt, which can be good for cleaning out wounds.

2. A fishing rod— assuming I’m stuck on the island (or I want to leave on the boat) I’d need a sustainable food source. Plus, fishing line is fairly strong, and quite useful. It makes good floss.

3. A satellite phone— these offer coverage just about everywhere on the surface of the earth, which makes them a great survival tool, even if you have absolutely no idea where you are. (Good satellite phones have a gps-connected sos feature which broadcasts the user’s location.)

A seed collection to get started on growing a plentiful variety of food, a large notebook in which to write things, and a tent of some sort to be shelter while I worked on something more permanent. I guess I'd have to settle for fishing unless there were a lot of pre-existing food plant life on the island, but I think with those things, I could make do.

Hey everyone, new Councillor of Culture here, ready to hit you with a thing.

So I'm thinking of doing the first official Refuge Game Night in five years. As I mentioned in my campaign post, we've been playing some games together in the Discord server, and my hope as Culture was to find a way to incorporate the NS-side and forum-side players into that.

The first game we're going to play together is Skribbl.io! If you don't know what that game is, it involves a group lobby where we take turns choosing one of three provided words, and then drawing it. The more people who guess it, the more points the artist gets, and the faster someone guesses the word, the more points they get. It's been a lot of fun the few times we've gotten to do it in the server, so I think it'd be a great thing for us to start with.

So when is this going to be, you might ask? I was hoping for this Saturday, February 27th. As for the direct time, there is a site set up where we can vote within a window I've provided. That link is here (http://whenisgood.net/d8pwdit). You don't need an account on the whenisgood site to vote, just type a nickname or your nation name, whatever you like more, so that I know who's who. Within the range where most people are available, I will set the game up. I'm hoping for an hour, but we can go longer if people are interested.
